Food coloring

Has anybody tried it to change colour of buds using food coloring?
I have looked but there is not much about it on this forum.

I was going to try it for a festive Christmas plant...

It'll change the leaf colors, but probably not the buds.
Unless you use A LOT. But that would cost too much, and might hurt the quality...

I might try it in a near future grow...

Not this grow though, my current grow is a breeding grow :)

Thanks for interest Finshaggy.

How much food coloring I should give,is there any side effects?
If not i am going to try it with my current grow.

I would try it with one cola, but do it immediately after chopping. Just take a freshly chopped cola, and put the stem in a vase or glass or water colored with food coloring. Within a few days, the cola should have sucked up some of the coloring and colored the buds, then you can dry and cure as normal. I'm not sure how much it would take though. I have one ready to chop in a couple of days, and I think my wife has some food coloring somewhere, so maybe I'll try on a bud..
