For All: How Much Money Have You Spent This Year?

I was thinking about the things I have bought in the last few months just to maintain/improve my grows and that got me thinking ... I wonder how much the personal home grow 'industry' contributes to the economy each year? I suspect when everything is added up it is significant. I know some people spend a fair bit and some, hardly anything, but it's the total I'm curious about so idividual amounts aren't really important - except to add it up of course.

So ... containers, lights, nutrients, soil, timers, seeds, hydro equipment, thermometers, fans, odor control, room building supplies, website memberships and so on and so forth. How much have you spent in the last year? If you want to state the country you're from I'll figure out the averages by country (and total); if you're not comfortable with that, I'll just add it up, divide, average and see what I come up with. If enough people respond it might give us a reasonable idea of what is spent. Thanks for participating.

600W HPS soil setup (i have a hydro setup, just dont use it).. spent ~800-900$ for everything.. grow room construction, seeds, ventilation, hydro equipment etc. (canadian)

alot..... too much..... not enough.... idk.... dont keep any evidence and couldn't even begin to guess. i know my original setup cost around 2 grand total though. I built everything.

I've only been growin indoors for like 9 months give or take a few months, I've probably spent 1,500 but got 5 times that back in bud so far. But I'm still not done with my spending or growing

The more I spend, the more bud I get, the better the bud gets, the more expertise I get, the more money I get,, I got the best rep in town...............

About the same as beer for 3 months

All in all,, not much $ at all, considering I had to start from scratch, maybe $600.oo for everything, but made it back, over and over and over again........

Shit man I've blown through an easy 1200 so far this year with my grow room setup and I for see much more money being spent it costly so My amount for a year is about 2000 on start up and about 500 yearly maintenance not including seeds. This could be really cool dude up this thread gets together I'd just like seeing how much people spend. Now I did start off spending less the 100 when I first started grow but that was a joke anyhow Good luck

Damm,, I remember when hermies were a bad thing,,, now I wish I had some with all the seeds I had to pay for,, I just want to make seeds for a while then I will sell some of them too,, always makin a buck......... It doesnt take much to keep cloning and cloning to make lots of money.... good luck guys and girls...............

Hmmm ... looks like the server is in no danger of crashing from the responses to this one. Not much point in figuring out an 'average' when you only get a few people contributing. I'll wait a little longer but it looks like this one is a no-start.

ive spend about £1500 so far,im planning on upgrading everything soon,more hids,more ruck fans,filters,acoustic ducting,diamond reflective sheeting etc,,its not cheap to get the right setup but once youve got it you save alot of money,,,,,,,,,,,,,,peace

I think I have spent someware in the 1500 dollar range. I don't have any grow shops and a very limited supplie of hardware where I live. It I lived somewhere else, I probibly would have only cost me around 1000. I had to have everything I bought shipped to me.

Thanks folks ... keep 'em comin'. This is actually working out to be even more than I thought it would be. I'd love to have a comprehensive amount that I could state with confidence is pumped into the economy each year - won't be easy, but this is a start. Maybe I'll send it to the powers that be.

I spent $1500 CND in all and I bought for plant food, lights, light sockets , berretts, packing tape soil, power bar since I last posted I spent $1,000 CND but gonna be making a bit of it back in about 3 weeks

About 200$ U.S money,but in all fairness I already had a lot of stuff passed on to me by another grower who failed mostly nuets but the price was right.
