You want to run these drivers as close to 100% as possible. They get more efficient. So if it would work, it would be the worst thing. I doubt it would work though
running the 36V driver maxed out to 40V would mean running him 100%+.
Thanks again for the help guys. I think ima go with the xlg-150-h-a per 10 strip fixture. I dont really see myself running them that hard, but I'll just adjust the current down to fit my applications.
I did call a metal shop close to me and ordered some 1 inch wide x 1/8th inch thick aluminum flat bar for a decent price. Do you guys think this will suffice as the heat sinking element? Like I was saying, I'll probably running the fixture around or under the 100 watt mark primarily so figure the flat bars would be enough? I was going to order some proper heatsinks, but the metal shop price was under $40 and no need to pay shipping. Heatsink USA was around $100 for the 1" profile to be shipped.
