Yo what’s good homies.

My first grow is doing well so far. Today is Day 15 since I planted taproot into the same cup you are seeing right now.
i made a mistake tho. I didn’t add perlite, so water doesn’t drain much or seep through the soil evenly. Because of this I haven’t added any nutes yet. I also had to make a couple more holes for drainage, aeration, etc.

Should I wait til transplant to add perlite and nutes? It takes a while for soil mix to dry out. I’m using coco-coir, peat moss, vermiculite mix.

I personally would feed what ever you want. As long as there’s holes for water to drain you’re good. Obviously perlite will help drain the water faster, but isn’t a deal breaker if you don’t have it in there right now. Feed away.

Aight. I'll let it *almost* dry out today and add nutes starting tmrw once I get my pH meter, FINALLY. Thanks!

Perlite isn't required. you're good ... if ya want it in the mix that bad then wait till you transplant :)..... And when you do transplant next time..... dont put it into a clear container, roots don't like light

Don't feed! Careful with your watering. Dense soil stays wet. Put those clear cups in a larger pot that blocks light. But has space between it and the cup. And heat a clothes hanger and melt some more drainage holes in that cup before you have roots to damage. Plant looks healthy. Don't mess with it. Just watch your PH with a PH pen. Keep it between 6.0 and 6.4 for a couple weeks. Add perlite and coco. Wood compost to your next pot transplant. You should be good.

that’s the plan! Yeah I just covered it with tape. You think this will do?

Good call. It's 3 weeks in a black plastic tray. Just a better cheaper option. Culling cubes from tray sections bites. LOL.
