theyre either trichocereus types of some sort or something else entirely. they could be used for mescaline tea or with a polar extract you can isolate the alkaloids (should be upward of 30 types of salts if they're real trichos). Personally i would just grow them out and treat them with respect

They look like the San Pedro my friend has grown for years. He used a worn out 1000W MH lamp for much of that time. The tea I tried wasn't very strong and gave me a slight stomach ache. I think dosing a bunch and then vomiting would have been more of a trip.

I'm not a cacti-ologist but I think the peyote cacti are much smaller than the varieties you have. Although that doesn't mean they don't have alkaloids to inebriate you
peyote is a separate organism of course. thre are many types of cacti that contain mescaline. peyote contains 50+ alkaloid types while OP's trichocereus bridgesii only contain 20 or so types of alkaloids.

Do you know your neighbors? Maybe you can just ask them?

Unless those are somehow illegal of course. I don't know shit about cacti. But I am interested.

trichocereus varietiea are all completely legal. deriving salts from them, however, is not. its likely they consumed some of them and became paranoid and threw them out in hopes of sobriety. ive read many instances where people have such an awful tripp that they will destroy all of their plants and cacti in fear of them.

lophophora are the only illegal cacti in the US but is sanctioned by native american traditions that trump US laws if you are part of their church.

I've read cannabis and cacti need similar nutrients, not sure on the soil though.
We got Sandy, rocky, dry brown dirt here and cacti loves it.
