Foxtailing is confusing me

Hi, Im in my second grow and my plant started foxtailing a little bit ago due to high heat/high humidity most likely. Its on day 58 of flowering. Im confused on when to harvest the plant because the foxtails are newer growth and not at the same point as the rest of the plant, i cut pieces of leaves off here and there from the plant to check the trichs. On the foxtails(mostly on top of the bud and some are on the sides) the trichs looked mostly clear to cloudy but the trichs on the leaves of the actual bud(not the foxtail) were mostly amber. Also most of the pistils are still white, I would say 20-30% have turned orange and receeded. So the question is harvest now or let it go for a little longer for the foxtails to ripen? I dont want to wait to long trying get the foxtails ripe and have the thc degrade in the rest of the bud but i also dont want to harvest to early and lose a lot of weight. Im also looking for a more energetic high than a stoned body high if that actually determines when to harvest at all or not. Thanks to anyone who has any input. Sorry Pictures arent the best

My Skunk #1 plants are doing the same thing. I am on day #67 of 12/12 and they are still covered with white pistils and a shit load of foxtails. I cut a few test buds off 4 days ago and they still are no where near ready.

Funny I have'Skunk'1 going too and its foxtailing too...although not like OP. his almost looks like reveg.

In any case some strains will keep building new clusters when technically they are ripe...especially in the heat of summer when dark periods are warm. With as much as you have going on personally id make sure i dont have light leak or faulty timer and if not id wait a week at least to let all of that ripen.

Ummm, wtf happened to all of your leaves m8? Looks like the famed Edward scissor hands strain..
Anyhoos, aside from that , I'd say you've still got a good 2 or more weeks left on that plant as you've still got tons of pistils that haven't receded along with the general not done look of it..

I don't even really see any fox tailing.. guess I'm too used to my landrace strains,

Summer heat can produce foxtailing + longer flowering times.
AC or CO2 is about the only options if you already have good ventilation.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. I live in a shitty apartment at school and we have no ac so I'm trying my best to keep the cabinet well ventilated, I keep it open all day with 2 fans on it but the temps outside have been in 90s with humidity at like 80%. The temps in the cabinate are high even with it being open and two fans and the humidity is around 40%in the cabinet. I'm worried about mold though with this heat and humidity we've been getting here. Is there any other way to check trichs besides cutting a little piece off since I'm getting yelled at for it lol I have a little microscope and its to hard to check while the leaf is still on the plant

check the trich on the bud then not the leaves

Do you use CO2? If so, do you use it all the way to harvest or stop 2 weeks before?

Mine looks like it is going through a re-veg cycle but I am 99.99% positive I finally have all the light leaks eliminated. I have been doing some reading, and from what I understand Sativa dominant plants can go through several growth spurts during flowering followed by an increase in trichomes immediately following the growth spurt. This must be what my this particular plant is doing. Almost all of the plants have this trait, although the few that are not tend to be much, much smaller. Still not a single amber trichome - although I wonder what they look like inside the bud. That bud in the photo is the diameter of a quart mason jar.
