Freak was starting to self destruct

I had a branch that formed 2 stalks that were joined and was making freaky bud. It started looking like rot so it came off today. No need to leave questionable bud around. This is still wet since it was just cut this morning. One pic shows the end of the stalk that split, the other the bud at the top of the branch.

Strain is Pineapple Poundcake from Lucky13.

looks like the old creeper skunk 1990? vintage

The branch is off of a Pineapple Poundcake from Lucky13.

The Lucky13 Blog on mutants identifies strains that are "Mutant" and a lot of them are skunk related so you may be right on the money that it started with a skunk. The strain doesn't smell skunky though.

bk78 not kidding nope the creeper skunk used to do that regular it was sold as such.
And was crossed with so many back in the day i am sure her genetics are still out there.

She was just homozygous to that trait. Why i add the ?

It only ever happens on a single branch when it does, how does that ruin a full commercial grow?

This is what the full plant looks like.

The problem with these plants is they are prone to mold and rot. Every thing is packed so dense you have to keep an eye on them. They are also very good at being herms.

Where did you read all this nonsense?

Second Pineapple Poundcake looks like this. No weird branches but packed tight.

Just a genetic mutation, pretty rare and doesn’t pass on through clones. It’s a 1 shot deal from seed and it’s gone.
Well in my neck of the woods back then the seeds that were used the male must of been a good one. It's showed up in so many Seeds the guy I was working g for back then. He hated it.

And From what I remember he got the Seed stock from north Florida what year I don't know was 1990 when it showed up for him.he was in north east Georgia, and south Carolina.

That's Fasciation and it happens in a variety of plant species including cannabis. There are several threads with that. It's not anything special to some specific Skunk strain.
