Freeze dry fresh bud for bubble hash yay or nay

keep checking out videos on making bubble hash and they dont talk much about the deying and curimg process only the extraction but they do have the bud in the freezer as its obviously better for extraction.of the trichomes.

what is best should i air dry the bud then freeze in the freezer

do a search in the search engine, under bubble hash, first one i read say yes, put in freezer overnight ,but nothing about drying the bud, i thaught i read the other day you can use fresh bud to freeze, but do some reading and see what others say

Fresh frozen is way better for sure. 100%. Yield a bit less but the quality is immensely better.

Dude go fresh frozen in vac bags made from a roll.
Make the bag twice as big as you intend to fill. Vac out some air but don’t compress.
Then freeze cold. Leave in freezer for as long as you like.

When you go to make your batch of bubble take the frozen bag and tap the contents with a rubber mallet on a floor to explode into powder the frozen flower in the sealed bag.

Then cut the bag open and pour that into a 220 micron zipper wash bag with some ice.
Chuck that in your ice wash and do two or three runs through another 220 bag and a 45 collection bag.

Let the 45 bag drip out then freezer your collected bubble for later use or further processing/drying.

That’s the best method I’ve discovered.

Sounds like you haven’t tried it.

I don’t get green hash from it. The rubber mallet does not break the flower smaller than 220.
I’ve tried unbroken frozen flower and the exploded flower method and the smashed up flower is faster and gives more clean bubble.

If you don’t break the flower up you don’t get as much return. Different story if you are doing trim leaf.

I only get green hash from strains that aren’t good to wash like full sativa.

I do this method with C99 and I get yellow gold.

Fresh frozen comes out greasy, I tried it but I dont dab so it wasnt my cup of tea. I like the hash balls that I can throw in a bowl and rip all day. The hash that I got from the fresh frozen was greasy and oily, BUT It was much more flavorful and the terps really came out into the fresh frozen hash.

Umm.. if I use too much ice in fresh frozen runs I get green hash on the first wash. Yeah, no I’m not beating up the frozen flower with a rubber mallet

So sounds like you get green ass hash from letting the ice break up the flower?

That sort of sounds like a double edged sword. You need it cold as fuck so you don’t get a shit result.

Dude you don’t have to beat the flowers you just tap them. I can make a flower explode in my fingers with a little squeeze if it is fresh frozen properly.

I have done this method with GDP and Cali-O and I got clean hash like I do from C99 but not as much because Cindy washes awesome.

Like I said I use a zipped 220 bag that the material goes into when it goes into the mini camping washing machine with the ice slurry.
Only flower coloured water and trics are coming out of the zipped bag and the outer ice slurry doesn’t break up the exploded flower particles anymore in the bag.

It’s like washing bra’s or some shit in a pillow case to protect them in the machine if you need a different example.

Doubt me all you like but I’m not talking shit.

I don’t wash for dabs or full melt, I wash for bubble to make oil.
