Ok so if this has been answered i apologize. I have fresh frozen trim that i want to run in my dry sift tumbler.(i used to do ice water has so it didnt matter) Now my question is how fo i make this happen? Should i dry it then tumble it? If so any sugestions for drying trim? Or tumble it with dry ice? I am guessing ideally i would dry it whole then tumble the dry trim. Just trying to use what i have

We've dried our trim on screens with a fan circulating air.

Normally we pull the fan leaves and hang the branches until the small stems break when bent, before extracting, and process the buds and trim together..

So I just did this this winter it works good. The cooler the better. It got to-45c here. The only problem is that it is cold on ME. And my setup uses a drill that shuts off after 5 min. But. It works.
The dryer the better and you can’t just throw huge branches in, it’s good to bust it all up. I was thinking about Maybe try a ball bearing inside to agitate? But it could cause problems.

My tumbler came with some light plastic balls, not heavy like ball bearings. Anyway I used dry ice and tumbled it about an hour (completely forgot about it in the freezer), it completely powdered the plant LOL. So keep an eye on it but yes a lighter (not too light) ball could help.

Cool. Maybe il drink a couple guiness and get the ping pong ball out of the can. Hmm dry ice is a good idea. Unfortunately not available in my area.
What micron mesh size do you use ?
My first run I went with the 220. Sized down to 160 and that's when I powdered the plant. I bubble washed her and poured her into my freeze dryer and now she's as dry as the Mojave sand.

You can see a lot of green in the 160 (bottom), less in the 73 (middle) and almost gone in the 25 (top).

Here is a small batch I made. so here is what I made. It’s a cheese X the Truth by True Canada genetics. It definitely has a little something extra on the taste.

the stuff on the outside I scraped up and put in the jar. The stuff in the middle I gathered up into a small ball and then pressed again to clean it up.
