Hi Everyone,

If anyone out there digs these pics please check out my journal below, there's tons of pics.

This is my first grow of the smallest Snow White Plant ever grown. It was harvested last Sat so it's been drying for 6 days. I put the bud in a large airtight jar.

Is it normal to lose more then 75% of weight in 6 days? I am in a very dry climate - 15-20% humidity at best. The bud went from 88 grams to 20 grams in 6 days!!! Is this normal?

Does the bud look ripe? The plant actually flowered for 13 weeks but I'm not sure that I ever saw a true amber trich, long story, please see journal...

Please, I'd love to hear some opinions...

what you have looks great and yes its normal, usually when you take a wet weight after harvest the dry weight is only gonna be 20 - 25% of the wet weight.

Thanks, man, but should it happen that fast? Did I over dry it? It's now in an airtight jar

That is actually spot on. I always use the 75% loss factor even though most of what you read says you'll lose 60%. Yours is at approx 77% loss, but when you cut away that tree trunk it will be a bit more. If your bud is a bit crusty and overdry, you can put a little cut of carrot or lettuce or a fan leaf in the curing jar to give it a tad more moisture back but it wont change it too much...
Thats a bad ass bud though :hump:

Thanks for everyone's feedback! I've been open the jar everyday for the past nine days. How long should I open it for? After 9 days it still smells very green, like lawn clippings. I did sample and the high was just as good as any any other high grade, but it didn't taste or smell good

How much longer in the jar and should I continue to open it every day?

How much light were you using?
How big was the plant and what were the rest of the buds like?

It looks great. Keep it up

What up,

13 days of curring in the jar and opening it every day. The smell still isn't good, better, but not good, and I don't want to smoke any more until it's curred properly.

The weed jar is in a crawl space which is dark, dry (humitity 15%), and chilly 55-65 F. Is the cold climate slowing my cure to a crawl? Should bud cure in room temp or colder?

How long should I continue to open the jar regularly? I've been opening it since I begain curring 2 weeks ago. Should I now just let it sit for a month or two without opening it?

Should I break the bud apart?

bro your shit is good to go you may as well start smking it - its not going to smell any better than it does - that has to do with genetics - you need some different genetics if you want a different smell/taste
