CFLs are literally one of the most inefficient light sources available to growers. I'm actually surprised that this subforum still exists.

Small slotted screw driver. Work around the base of the diffuser, prying it upwards. The glue holding it starts to loosen and stretch, then it'll come off. It takes a minute or two per bulb.

The Ecosmart bulbs Home Depot carries have diffusers that can be removed, but I have bought A19s in the past(can't remember what kind) that I couldn't get the diffusers off without a Dremel.

Get the 100 watt equivalent. They only use 15 watts. They come in 5000K(veg) and 2700K(flower) spectrums.

There are a few people over in the LED sub forum who are using them from start to finish.
