It was cold last night not too sure how cold and tonight it's supposed to be 39 and the next 2 days low 40s so I'm wondering if I should just cut now to be safe mine are very far away I only get to see it 2 times a week so do u think I should just chop it or can it withstand the cold?

You don't have to worry until it drops bellow 32. Its been low thirties the whole last week here. And don't harvest before a frost just go check them after it freezes and then harvest. Some plants can survive a light frost with no protection. You can also cover your plants with blankets or tarps to protect them also.

They can take some light frostings - don't worry until you see a hard frost on the horizon. Some strains can take some hard frosts as well.

They can even take a hard frost if it is short (starting around 0430). If the -32 temps start earlier and are more than 2 in a row start watching for signs of freeze.
