frost/greenhouse question

i know april is "ify" for starting seeds outside, especially here in new england. by taking a 2 liter bottle and cutting it in half and placing the spout end over the seedling, would that protect it from a few nights of frost? i know it creates a nice greenhouse effect over the seedling, but wasn't sure if it protects from frost.

yes it will protect them but if you can keep them indoors warm and under 24 hours light untill you dont have to worry about that. if you can that is, your plants will love you all the better for it. but yea it will protect them from light frosts. im in new england last frost in my area is mid-end may thats when they go out.
