So FrosteH is Back after Taking 8 Months Out Da Game!!

This is my First Serious Grow, The First One was my English Home G Windowsill Plant wich Failed on me with Bud Rot in my '' Cheap n Cheerful '' Flower Cab wich had No Ventilation and Small Lights. it Managed Half OZ but was a shit smoke as it was under 1-2 weeks ready.

This time im back and i have spent a bit of Money and Time and Plotted my Plan and Finally have a SERIOUS Grow Going... I've Built myself a Grow Cab out of a IKEA Wardrobe 6.5ft Tall 4ft Wide!! Below is Details on the Grow + Some Pics!!

Im As We Speak 14 Hours into Germing and Await one of my Babys to PoP

Please Feel Free to Comment or Criticise my Grow Cab and tell me if it will do the Job!!

Covered the Inside in MYLAR Light Tight Reflective Sheeting + Infared Proof

Ive Put in a 4'' CAN Air Filter on to Ducting Attached to a TT Fan Wich is my Odor Control + Extraction.. its all Properly Sealed and Air Tight and works Like a Dream for a Budget System!!

Below is a Hanging Rail Screwed up, with my '' YoYo '' Style Hangers tied with Strong String onto The Hang Bar, Attached is a Refelector with a 300w 8U 6400K VeG Envirolite Bulb, (2700k Red for Flower)

2 Corner Shelf's 1 With a 9'' Fan for Air Circulation, Plant Strengthening and Temp Control, and the other with my Temp/Humid Gauge.

I'm using a Relay to the Mains + 24 Hour Timer and everything plugs into this, it protects your equipment plus is easy to setup/use.

Iv'e Attached Magnetic Door Stops + A Bolt Lock to Keep the Doors Secure.

-= Germination =-

Small Propagator, 8 Peat Pots each Filled with John Innes Seed + Perlite + Vermiculite + small amount of sand - ''Fine Dust'' of Bat Guano + Bone Meal.

PH 6.4-6.5 Water + Small '' Dusting '' of Ground Cinnamon to Help Aid any Early Fungal Disease.

Fine Spray of Water Around the Inisde of Propagator to Aid Humidity.

Remove Propagator Lid Every 12 Hours and Add Another Fine Spray of Water around the Inisde of the Propagator + a '' Small '' Amount of water to each pot if needed.

Repeat until Sprouted.


Thats About It Up until Now, Took me About 3 Days to Build and Get Growing, So Here we GOOO!!!

Well Just Under 30 Hours Gone Now and i'm Yet to see 1 of my 8 Baby's PoP!
im starting to worry why none of them have PoP'd but Hey i'm keeping the Faith and Hopeing in the Next Few Hours i'll see some Action

Nice set up!

May I ask though, why are you using a contactor with a single CFL. You only really need one when you start surging like 600+ watts.

Almost 34 Hours in now and Still no Signs of Seedling, im really starting to worry!!

the Temps Holding Steady at around 80f and humidity is steady also at around 20-30%

The Soil is also nice and Moist,

i dont get it.....

did you germ them? or did you just put them directly in the soil?

i put the seeds straight in the peat pots, it allways works for me, last time i tried this it took less then 24 hours for them to pop, so i dunno wats goin on...

they usually take 7 - 10 days if you don't germ them at all

you should germ them in a paper towel for 20 hours before you put them in the soil and they will sprout usually the next morning

Yep, been almost 2.5 Days Now and Still no Sign of Germing, i will do this next time i think

and the Ground Cinnamon helps Cut out any Early Fungal Diseases that may Contaminate my Young Seedlings its a Trick i learnt From this Website from a m8 who is a Top Grower thx for Asking!!

The First 1 Has PoP'd During Lights out Last Night, and its a Bubblelicious!!

7 to Go and they Should Follow Suit in the next 24-48 Hours!!

Also u may Notice 2 Saucers of Water in the Grow Cab, i had to Put them in as there was Virtually 0% Humidity Almost, they Really do The Trick Now its Holding Steady at 25-30% and i jus refill the saucers every 2-3 Days.. i have also switched the Extraction Off and just Left the Fan on, as it was Below 80 f with extraction on, now its Warmer in there at about 83-87f and it must have done the Trick as 1 PoP'd Last Night, i Guess it Helps at Light Out Being Warmer in the Cab Longer...

Well a Bit to Report, Bubblelicious #3 that sprouted last night is doing well, no others have sprouted yet thow...

Also i have a Outside Grow Going in a Greenhouse, it Started a Couple Days Before my Indoor 1, i got 5 Pots in there with 2 Thai Weed Seeds in each Pot, 2 of them have PoP'd Today! Pot1 and Pot5, Here is some Pics of That... Well bit of Action today then, Hopefully More Will PoP From now till Tomorro so i'll get Posting Once More do!!

Well 6 Days into Germing now and Still only 1 of 8 PoP'D Indoors, Getting Really Worried About the Other 7 Now, I Paid 60 Bloody quid For Nirvanna Seeds and Only 1 is PoPing?!?! WTF NIRVANNA..... If They Dont Pop in a Few More Days im Asking The Attitude for a Refund and Never Buying Nirvanna Again....

Anyway Here is a Pic of the "Lone Ranger" Bubblelicious. And At Least i Have some Good Old English Home G to Take Away the Pain of my Other 7 Not PoP'N!

Well 10 Days is up in a Few Hours, only the 1 PoP'd, so im scrapping this Grow, and placed them in my Greenhouse to let them do there own Thing along with my Thai Weed wich seems to be doing well Funilly Enough lol...

I have ordered a Fresh Bach of Seeds Exactly the same Strain but im Going to Germ Them for 24 Hours in Distilled Water Before Planting Them into the Soil This time...

Anyone else use this Method of Germing?? Any Pros/Cons to Doing it like this?? or Shall i just use Paper Towel Method??

you can use the paper towel method if you want, just make sure you do not put it in anything sealed like a Tupperware container because they need air so make sure you check them every day at least once or twice

i soak my seed until they sink, then i place them in between two damp paper towels and between two plates on top of my xbox(turned on) and i've never had a seed that hasn't popped. i let my tap root get at least 1/4" to a 1/2" long before i place it in the soil, when you're placing it in the soil, place it about a 1/2" down with the taproot facing down and cover with soil gently and it should sprout in 1 - 2 days

Thanks A lot for your Post Snowman, Greatly Appriciated, im going to try it like you said but use my PS3 instead as i dont have a xbox ;P

Also do you put the Light Cycle on straight away once Potting them or leave em Dark till you see Green???
