OK, so I was told by larger operating caregiver that in Maine extractions are legal until you bring Butane into the equation, co2, rosin, qwiso, etc are OK. Which utterly confused me, his explanation was that those are "natural" solvents or techniques, which stopped me in my tracks...Because man didn't synthesize butane, that would also have to be considered a "natural" solvent. I know there's very little on the topic, but please someone show me cases, statute paragraphs, anything to help me figure out exactly what is punishable by Maine state law. And on a side note, if it is true that butane magically makes it illegal, than how are we expected to do research with our medicine to find out it's full potential...

Personally I don't care what other human beings put in their body. There are literally thousands of people driving around Maine with boat loads of dabs. The ones who are unlucky and catch the officer on the day he found out I'm banging his wife and eating all his donuts, are getting charged with sale of hard drugs when all they have is some headsmoke

Thanks for the input officer...but

Butane is not a no go in Maine, it is legal.

People are being arrested for possession of "shatter" which the police say is an illegal hard drug even tho "concentrates" are legal. That is the reason for the discussion on "gray area"

Oh ok,you're right.butane is legal.I saw it on the counter of the local grow shop.it was that sweet ez whip brand.as op originally stated,butane extraction is illegal.so I'll ask you,why do you think butane extraction is illegal?
don't be putting the officer bullshit on me either,I don't think it's right for the cop to fuck with the customer.I stated I thought it was great in my first post that Maine is looking out for people.not that cardholders were getting fucked with.more research should be done on butane and all "concentrates" should be required to have a residual test if it's not already being done.
I'm sure the maine law also has to do with the assholes running around with schedule40 plumbers pipe as their tubes blowing their shitty trim through.

If some asshat burns his house down with Everclear or gasoline, should they make those illegal?

Just blast it outside and the electricity in your house won't ignite it. Use a vacuum purge or don't do it at all. And stay out of other peoples business. Making possession of anything illegal is insane. Selling things like heroin is a little different. But being charged with a felony for BHO is retarded.:wall:

When you don't have precedents in the case law, you gotta bring things like this to trial. It hasn't gone to trial yet in any of the cases they have arrested people with "shatter" the new evil drug.

And they will do it with CO2 shatter or any other kind as well, they aren't worried about the details. Just make shatter look like this new evil drug, like weed crack

It's not because people are getting sick, they are calling it a hard drug. And its not so much BHO they are cracking down on but "shatter" in general. The cops aren't doing a butane test, they just arrest people with shatter, it could be C02 or any other method they have these days.
