My BFF/Brother called me this morning from jail. He got popped with over a zipper of miss molls, a couple sheets of elis d and a lot of cron ton because Michigan State Police had a designated checkpoint right when you pull into the concert. What kind of woodstock/rave has that kind of police force and doesn't fucking mention it?! Yeah . . . my brother's looking at life in prison. F T W !!!!!

The penalties are harsh... but you have to admit it's his fault and he should have known the risk he was taking. Lots of big concerts have checks like that by the way.

It is his fault but we have absolutely nothing like that in CO. We have security but they're not there to bust ppl. It's just super rough. You know what you're asking for when you get into this shit but you always think that you're smarter than the next. It's just hard to imagine his life being ruined at 23. :/

So i just got the official story from him last night. I guess that every year they have a checkpoint going through allegan county. He got stopped, they smelt marijuana but he has a CO MMJ card so he thought he was all good. Guess not, had something to do with Michigan DUI law or some shit so they searched his car. He had it super stashed but I guess they tore it apart.

Sorry to hear about your brother dude :/ but yah whenever i get anywhere near a festival (1-2 hours) we stop any smoking and make sure everything is super stashed because even if the city is cool with the festival alot of times the outlying cops or highway cops will just see it as a golden opportunity to make some money and get some "drug busts"

I'm sitting in my car now here at Electric and yes, they are hard this year. They have the private security, undercover security, cops and undercover cops. I've heard/ saw of at least 5 people get busted. Security is power hungry using a lot of force.

I saw one security.guard jack up someone who was asleep, and then slammed him.to the ground when he tried to resist.... I mean wouldnt you freak out if someone grabbed you from a nap

Fuck SCI is what you should say. I went to rothbury both years, nothing like that happened. I ran into someone the first year that had 10g of molly taken at the gate and thrown in the garbage. No cop involvement.

My feeling is you're doing something wrong if you get busted on tour. I don't like festivals. It's way harder to get people at a party that moves from city to city than one that stays in one place for 4-5 days.

Get a fucking amazing lawyer... hopefully he didn't say anything while he was being detained/arrested... Hopefully he can somehow say that he is an addict, not a dealer. sad to hear, if my brother was getting life in prison... he might as well be dead.. and for me that would not b okay

I believe the federal government classifies psychedelic drugs as "non-addictive". You might be able to slip by with that excuse for MDMA though as it definitely has psychological addictive potential, imo.

That festival was gnarly for sure. Heard someone died during Crizzly... Drowned in the lake during his show. Also heard of someone else overheating in there car and dieing.
