Fungal spores

The lower buds in my room are dying off and is moving up the plant. It appears like fungal spores are on the surface of the lower stalks. The top of the canopy looks fairly healthy still for now. It’s week 5 in flower. I have not seen this before in all my years of growing. I recently started fogging ZeroTol hoping to neutralize the fungal spores. I’ve also added more lower air movement and dropped the humidity to 50. Any one experience this before ?

honestly im a scrub but my 2 cents you have some sort of a fungus thats rotting the buds inside out and if this is the case you most likely also have mold even if you cant see it. its over throw everything in your flower room away and start over dont be those people that dip plants in hydrogen peroxide and than sell the bud or smoke it lmfao. i have thrown away multiple outdoor plants because of fungus/mold it sucks but its not the end of the world.

Whats your ambient temp/humidity?

I would start over with a clean room. Look into IPM. Prevention is a million times easier than curing.
78 degrees humidity now set to 50. Yeah I plan to use ZeroTol from day one next round along with Oxyphos every three weeks which acts systemically. I have plenty of other IPM methods to use.

Do you have a fan moving air around? 50% humidity is too low for most types of mold to take hold.

Dropped the humidity to 50, what was it before dropping it?

Yeah it was 60 65 percent for the first 4 weeks of flower. I only had air movement up in the canopy the first four weeks as well. I have added more air movement but only recently. Just hoping I can stop it from spreading further with the ZeroTol and room conditions being adjusted. The top buds are currently fine and unaffected. Next round I will start with ZeroTol treatment, better air movement and lower humidity from the beginning to try and prevent it from showing up at all

Just follow a vpd chart. Have the right humidity for the stage of growth the plant is in.

Health of plant , like anything older it gets its immunity to defenses decrease . Look into regalia as a SAR boost and for spores of many molds i cluding pm and budrot I would suggest looking into southern ag biological fungicide. mixing those together and applying them will give u 2 modes of defense and can be used till day of harvest . the mode of aid for regalia is a systematic SAR/immunity gain and overall health improvement/aid. SABF works as a surface defense where anywhere u spray it the species of bacteria will defend. the regalia can be mixed together but the regalia even if rains only needs to be applied every 7 days vs SABF I would suggest re-applying if u get rain if outdoors ( ur not )

regalia @30ml per gallon (once a week) mixed with + SABF at 5-15ml per gallon, 5ml dose - preventive , 15ml = infective/more vulnerable time of cycle.
doing this preventive actions like for pest has not only eliminated pm and reduced bud rot to a crazy % as a farmer vouch for this 100%, I’ve tried god know products for budrot and pm and none ever worked this and this safe.

even for future, these tools I use from start-finish/last week of bloom . prevention and making plant happiest is best IPM tool!
As a hint for cost ^ non cg label of this is cheaper aka cannabis . u can get their 2.5 gallon for almost same price as their 1 gal of cg and it’s same % and only diff is making it cannabis approved label. just saying I would hate to pay 130+ for a gal vs 150-200 for 2.5 gal and same thing. Just saying and u can always buy the quart of cg first than if j like buy the cheaper version

SABF is cheap, effective, safe and like regalia can be mixed with anything that allows bacteria . Amazon sells it

‘your right about the airflow thou, yes vpd is key but u need that airflow inside ur canopy but also newr medium for IPM and to let the medium dry out and breath. It’s a great IPM tool for flys/fungus gnats since they are flying to ur medium to hatch their babies.

I do have regalia. Not sure how much it will do starting now. My understanding is it’s systemic and is effective when used from the beginning. I agree that going forward next round that would be a good ipm to introduce and use throughout. Not sure that it would make since to use both that and ZeroTol. Prob one or the other

@Cpappa27 found an Arber bio-fungicide that is Reynoutria Sachalinensis the same as Regalia. Could be a viable, less expensive option:

Regalia works within 1 hr even if rain, it’s suggested to be used at start but Def can be used at anytime and if anything The plant is most vulnerable later so would def suggest it asap or next cycle.

everyone has their own ways and I just know even with many tools I tried I got pm outdoors and got way more budrot ( been growing well over 20 years now) and the change of using those as my main defense for mold def showed, that and making sure the plant is super healthy.

I def wouldn’t suggest applying anything like zerotol or similiar that kill spores if using products like SABF vs like SABF does where it defend the surface with a beneficial bacteria . The issue ive tried many things including product u stated is it’s a bandage to issue . but the effective mode of action doesn’t prevent nowhere as good . key is scouting for that mold by bending the branches and future to make sure ur canopy has enough airflow . shoot if I see budrot I will Inless high pressure remove that bud which is majority always top nug and remove it. has it shown afterwards the

i can have plants indoors or out and high rh but key to sucess like pest is healthy plants and also not allowing pressure of pest or mold arise. using SABF and regalia even now if it isn’t last weeks of bloom def is beneficial but also if anything great modes of aiding he surfaces have a bacteria defend and adding a 7 day SAR aid

on sale on Amazon, wish they supplied on bottle or label or description stating how many oz’s that bottor is. if it’s 16 oz’s that’s a good price exp if u wanna start out trying it or small garden. I just use it a lot and even drench for starting stage, start of bloom
