Funny Growth?

I know a picture is worth a thousand words on here but i cant get one that would do the situation any justice.
Here is the situation: i topped my baby after the third node to get 6 tops, but when i did i think i got too close to the node above it. Now after a few days the top of my "stump" is starting to grow little green ?foliage? or some other growth out of the top, its too small to distinguish what it is. but thats not really the issue.

My question is, since it is topped already should i just take off that little growth and a bit more of the stump, or do i let the little thing grow and see what it is.

I'm scrogging in a very small space therefore i need to keep the plant as short as possible. Time restrictions are also another issue to factor in, i need to them flowering soon.

What should i do? any input is welcome

Keep topping it as long as you like just give it a week or two between toppings so the plant has time to heal

fair enough, i ended up just taking off the tip of the stem anyway

u topped to close the the node above it ? that could be your problem u wanna cut it right above a node not halfway between 1 node to another

ya it was my first real topping, i got a bit excited and just cut it a bit too high.
