G13 Labs Feminized Quicksilver autoflowering freebie from Attitude is a male

Alright, so this isn't a huge deal to me and I'm not exactly complaining, but I just thought I should post this up as info for any others since I know "G13 Labs" is a relatively new breeder and possibly the Attitude seedbank's "house breeder."

I got two freebies from them... feminized diesel and feminized quicksilver (an autoflowering strain) along with my order. Unfortunately the diesel never made it past a young seedling as for some reason it was particularly weak... it died, but the Quicksilver autoflowering plant was going strong and definitely showing it's autoflowering traits, as it is only maybe 8-10 inches high and 2-3 weeks old.... unfortunately it's showing balls... and this is not a hermaphrodite plant. It's all balls here..... 100% male plant that was advertised as being feminized. So, like I said it's not really that I'm complaining, as I don't care too much, although it is slightly disappointing. I'm just posting up the info for you guys, as this is a new breeder and a problem like this is one inwhich I think would cause a lot of people to avoid buying anything from G13 Labs.... just a heads up!

There is always a small chance that feminized seeds will turn out male. All they do is spray hormones on the bud during growth to help produce female seeds.

That's pretty useful information.

BOTH of my free G13 fems are females..... i've seen a few grow journals with their gear on here lately, and they look to be a decent breeder for their price.... especially when that price is free

yeah, got it..... just saying. you usually expect a female when you have "feminized seeds", and yes this was a freebie, but they DO sell their strains on attitude.

yes, they DO sell them on attitude; but look at their prices compared to the other breeders......

look, as I said, I was just throwing the info out there. no BS. my first experience with them led to a 100% male plant that came from supposedly feminized seeds. I don't know the odds of that sort of thing... maybe I just got unlucky, but that right there is enough to keep me away from ever buying feminized seeds from them and expecting females... usually when people spend the extra money on feminized seeds, they are doing so so that they can reliably expect females. Yeah, they aren't too pricey, but there are much better values, like Mandala, which is one of my favorites... I figured people would appreciate the info, as it may be some sort of indication how reliable their "feminized" seeds are. It's not all bad though, I guess. I may try to collect some pollen, pollenate some lower branches on some of my plants, and see if I can get some autoflowering crosses out of it

my G13 femmed Royal Kush that I got for free is doing great. 1.5 weeks into flower and it sexed in like 2 days. Can't wait for her to finish.
