My first grow tent was (is) a 3 x 3 x 7.5 Gorilla Grow tent with a Black Diamond LED light and I've have had ok success with it. I just want to have the best light and had figured I would buy a small ac unit to put in the new tent to cool. I really liked the led thokeeping temps under control in a tent while running de can be a challenge. a de will out-yield qbs in most circumstances (provided your environment is under control), but if you are not working in a larger space in which multiple light fixtures will be employed, i would go with the r spec. diy it if you want to save yourself some cash and have the option to customize it to suit your space/needs/taste. also you may be able to get away with no a/c if you go the led route, with de you would definitely need it. the led will cost way less to run than a de, too
I have had that issue with the tent I currently run. Funny you bring that upIt might be worth thinking about mitigating potential danger. If you run LED's and the a/c craps out there is a much better chance of your plants surviving. Also be aware that the commercial led fixtures (ex. HLG ) are usually IP rated (i.e. waterproof rated) so survive water related incidents without burning out or catching anything on fire.
