Day 5 of flower
2 plants. 4 mains each (didn't go for 8
Tied down their whole life.
She is half mainline half LSTd and the side shoots have come up to form a nice even canopy but there are still hidden smaller shoots...on the main 4 tied down branches as well as the side shoots that are forming rapidly. Can I pluck those smaller shoots off as the plant grows these first couple weeks or does that remove bud sites? As of now I have 25 bud sites on top of the canopy and was going to pull lower small ones to give energy back to the main canopy. My garden can hold any more smacks for horizontal growth haha
My main confusion lies with this...
At a node, will that spot still grow and fill out with bud even if I plucked the side shoot that was growing there? First grow so I've never seen a plant go through the flowering stage.
Day 3 of flower

The smaller girl, a week before flower, after defoliation

Smaller girl after being defoliated

The bigger one before being defoliated. Those side shoots under the canopy are what I'm curious about removing as I go into flower week 2. I want all the energy on the 4 main branches each plant has (as well and the couple tiny ones that have made it to the canopy...
