GE "Reveal" CFLs for flowering?

I just picked up a 26w, 1570 lumen "Reveal" CFL from GE because it was on sale at my local hardware store. It doesn't say anywhere on the packaging what the color temp is, but after some googling around it looks like it's 2500k. I would guess that's no good for veg, but will it be okay for flowering? I know 2700k is the usual for flowering, but 2500k seems pretty close right?

Sorry if this question has been asked many times before, but for some reason the RIU search function seems to still be broken from the hack or something, it keeps giving me an error when I search.

P.S. Obviously this bulb ALONE wouldn't be enough light. I already have about 15,000 lumens of CFLs, though, so I was just thinking to add this to the mix come flowering time.

You don't have to wait til flowering to add those new bulbs... add them now, a mixed spectrum is good, and more bulbs is better especially with cfls, stay high

I got 5x 45W and 10x 23w Cfls for flowering. Thats 2 plants, I could have a third
As I said above, I already have 15,000-ish lumens of CFLs for this grow box. I said that because I just wanted to make clear that I wasn't suggesting flowering with ONLY this bulb, but rather adding it to the mix or swapping it out with an existing 6500k 23w or 26w. With a screen area of about 1.5' x 3' for the scrog, that comes to around 3300 lumens/sq ft. I realize it's below ideal, but I really don't have any easy way to squeeze more bulbs over this screen, so I'm sure it'll work out.

are these 1750 lumens? typo maybe
No, the box definitely says 1570 lumens.

As I just mentioned, I'm not sure I'll even be able to fit all my current bulbs over my scrog space. I'm just finishing up building the grow box and will be germinating sometime in the next couple weeks, though, so maybe some last minute design changes could improve matters. However, I am not a heavy smoker, and I'm growing only for my own consumption, so really I don't need to have the densest buds or maximize my yields. If I can produce even 2 oz a year, that would be significantly more than I'm currently consuming, and I'd rather have lower (but sufficient) yields if it means less heat issues and less electrical consumption.

wow 2 oz a year... I could only imagine. I smoke about 2oz a month sometimes more. So what you got going on makes plenty of sense, but as i mentioned mix a spectrum isn't bad.
Aalthough not recommended, you could flower with 6500k spectrum, it's the light cycle that flowers your babies, not necessarily the spectrum. anyway good luck with your grow! stay high

haha, yeah I'm a lightweight, that's for sure. I usually buy an oz at a time, and that takes me about 8 months to kill. Though I imagine I'll smoke more when it's plentiful and basically free...
