Gen Hydro and TechnaFlora - (Switch or Add?)

Ok so - I am growing mother plants to clone - I have been using General Hydroponics for almost two months

(Flora Grow, Flora Micro, Floralicious Grow, Diamond Nectar and FloraBlend)

(they are still - to be specific - in Veg phase and shall remain there - again these are for cloning)

I am somewhat less than impressed with the results overall with General Hydroponics in my DIY self-made Hydro/Aeroponics systems...

Although my plants are certainly growing, and have grown, the roots are not spectacular and not many big and healthy nodes (for cloning) have sprouted

So...after looking for some supplements and growth "boosters"...

I bought the TechnaFlora "Recipe for Success" kit which has a sampler size of all their nutes:

The kit includes the following nutes/suplements:

BC Grow
BC Bloom
BC Boost
Thrive Alive Red Label
Thrive Alive Green Label
Rootech Cloning Gel
Awesome Blossoms
MagiCal
Root 66
SugarDaddy

What I wanted/planned to do was add BC Boost and Grow, Root 66, MagiCal, and B1 Red to my already existing nute solution

My question(s) is (are):

Can I add these nutes to the already existing mixture (in small amounts perhaps) ?

Or should I switch them out.... ?

Or just simply add the supplements like BC Boost, Root 66, and MagicCal...?

Basically I'm wondering if Gen Hydro and TechnaFlora nutes can be used together in some "magical super-duper combination" for spectacular results....

both in terms of the health and growth of the plant, as well overall size, mass, volume...etc.

Any and all opinions/suggestions/advice would be greatly apprecieated....

Thanks in advance to all you Hydro Wizards

Most nutes work with each other. The think you have to watch out for is over loading your plants. If you add the recommend amount of each you will have WAY to high of a ppm.

Try running straight water for 3 days to a weeks as a flush and then start them off with the other nutes @ a weeker strength and bring them up from there.

I am worried about switching away from GH 3 part becuae of the amount of different chemicals you need to buy.

I am interested in trying some of the Advanced Nuterients products. They talk a good game.

So just so I understand you - your opinion is that I flush out the GH and switch to TF as opposed to merely adding some of the TF nutes to my already existing nute mixture?

Advanced Nutients was the other company I was looking at - I may get a couple of theirs to use as well - such as No Shock and Jump Start

Unless you know what your target solution ratio is i wouldnt try mixing too many different nutes. If you are intentionally building a nutrient solution, and know your targets precisely, AND can ensure your EC is within acceptable limits, then yes yes whatever components you feel are.best. Also, what is your p.h.? Many lackluster grows occur simply due to p.h. Issues. And ph swing in the reservoir. Temps? Air and water? Are you aerating your solution? So many variables. it may be your mix is fine, but something else is hindering nutrient uptake.

Have you innoculated your roots? Do you have a rhiosphere (sp?)? Are your GH nutes killing them off?

That being said, you should really be running more organics. The GO line is reasonable and simple enough. Add in some more root zone organisms and get them roots going yo!

Anyways, my two cents. Definitely flush between all nutrient changes so you can see the difderence in your plants
