Germ questions

I just germed some seeds.

Is it really a good Idea to put saran wrap over the tops of the pots?

I would think the seeds need some air to germ as well.

Should I take that off within 24 hours? or leave the saran wrap on until they germinate.

Are they in soil already? if so you can leave them covered till they just break the surface. This will help keep moisture in the pots. Most people germinate by pacing the seeds in a moist paper towel and putting them in a zip lock for a few days. this way you dont waste soil and ferts etc. on seeds that didnt germinate. Good luck
