Germinating seeds... Glass of water or wet tissue method??

What is the best way to germinate. I have seen the drop in a glass or water technique and the wet tissue paper method. What has the higher success rate. And when after they crack should they be put under the lights? Rep1 to all posters

Both work well. I like the paper towel method best myself though. It's mostly just personal preference. As for the lights... as soon as they poke above the dirt put them under the light. Start with the light a good distance away until you see the second set of true leaves then move the light closer.

paper towels then under FULL light when they crack above soil. Remember they grow in full sunlight as soon as they sprout in nature, there is no need to adapt them to light.

Damp paper towel folded up with beans inside in the dark between two plates, face to face, on top of semi warm fridge.
