germination confusion

I hope im in the right forum. Any ways, here goes. I need help asap by some ofthe more eexperienced guys. I recently recieved my og 18 fem along with a strawberry blue, and 2 afghanis. I soaked said seeds in plain distilled water in a cup for 24 hours, then to moist paper towels on a plate, set on top of a heat pad. The next day my strawberry blue had an inch long radical. Planted it into happy frog. One of my afghanis had a half inch radical the next day, which is today. Planted it. My og never poped in the water, or the paper towel. I gave it a gentle squeeze along the ridge and I felt a slight pop. I didn't crush it. Just light squeeze. I then put it back into the cup of water for 5 hours. When I took it out, I could feel with my tweezers, and could see that I had popped it, but dont see any radical, or any seed meat if you will. Lol. I put it back in the moist paper towel on the heat mat. Would I be better off putting it straight into happy frog, or leaving it in the paper towel? ThisIis the strain I wanted the most, and if it doesnt sprout, shits gonna get broken around here...Should I go ahead and plant it? Or should I leave it in the towel?

Sounds like it may be a dud seed. That popping sound you describe does not sound good!

Might as well keep trying with either method, nothing but upside if I'm wrong.

Thanks Hawk.
I just would have thought that the micro herd in the soil would have stimulated hormones. Thanks for you expertise sir

Helllo Bugeye,
Unfortunately, my og seed fem had already spent time soaking and 2 days in the towel, then I gave it a gentle squeeze to open it some to help it along. Please tell me I didnt kill it.... I don't know what to do. This is the seed I specifically ordered man... I really need to figure out how to save her....

Nothing you can do but wait and see. It may have been hollow and unviable (strong odds) and that is why you could not see anything going on, or you squished it dead (shorter odds), or it will be okay (long odds). I think if it was a healthy seed you would have seen some swelling on the inside if it cracked that easily.

But no worries, you can get more.

Thanks for the info Bugeye. Im totally bummed. Everything you just schooled me on, I kinda already figured. I was hoping that there was something I could do. I don't know if I'm allowed to source where I ordered it from. I got it from Herbies, dna genetics. It was a good looking seed too. It's gonna be a hail Mary. Fingers crossed.

Forget the soaking, and the paper towel. Just poke hole in 1/4 deep hole in soil, drop in seed, cover and water in. Then sit the cup on your heat mat and wait.
