Germination problem..

I currently have 2 seeds undergoing the germination process. One i call Mystery and the other i call Gas. And yes both seeds are brown/dark brown. Mystery started off in a spring water bottle until it has sunken on its 2nd day. I've chosen to let it stay in the water bottle for another day and transferred it to the paper towel method on the 3rd day. Today is its 6th day in the paper towel method and no progress has been shown. I am likely to finally plant Mystery later today, anybody think that's a good idea? Gas started off in the paper towel method last Thursday and today is it's 2nd day in the paper towel method. Nothing has really been shown with Gas besides a crack in the seed, no taproot, just a crack and i also might plant Gas along with Mystery later today. Both seeds are kept in the paper towel method inside a ziploc bag and the paper towel is always kept moist. The seeds are also kept inside my drawer which should be room temperature. Anybody wanna give me tips, suggestions or solutions?

-use good water. Distilled water or RO water. Some bottled water has chlorine to disinfect the water.
-scuff your seeds with a scuff box or sand paper it takes off the seed coat.
-as soon as the seed sinks (12-24hrs.) take it out of the water. When the seed sinks the embryo has soaked up enough water to start germination.
-I use cheap toilet paper because it's just wood pulp. If you use paper towel make sure it's unscented. wring it out after you get it wet. That's moist enough.
-The top of your water heater or the top of your fridge is warm enough to start germination. Keeping your seeds in the dark, and warm.
-never touch your seeds. use a tweezers. If you smoke or are not clean you can contaminate your seeds by touching them (salts and oils from your hands)
-----------------------------------------------------
Or you can just sow to soil 1/8" - 1/4" keep the soil moist all the time, and under your grow light. 3 days you should have a sprout.
----------------------------------------------------
Six days in paper towel, I'd say that seed is lost. You should have a sprout in 24-48hrs. in your paper towel in a warm place.

Thanks for the tips but i have officially decided to plant my seeds. Hopefully Mystery will sprout and Gas actually has a crack in it and if i look good enough i can see a taproot.
