Germination Temperature and Soil Questions

Hello all,

I have just received my seeds from Herbies which had absolutely stellar shipping. I got 10 feminized Lemon Kush seeds from Female Seeds. I plan on using the SHOT GLASS method for germination and using DISTILLED water throughout. What is the best temperature for the shot glass to be at during the soaking stage? Another question I have is using Fox Farm Ocean Forest straight out of the bag a little "hot" for the germination stage? I've added perlite to the soil before when germinating but it seemed like the soil dried out very quickly and it was tough to keep the soil fully hydrated. Also, what is the prime temperature for the plant to be at during the germination/ seedling stage? I've heard and read anywhere from 86 degrees all the way down to 70. I plan on using CFL bulbs when the plant gets a little bigger and is sturdy. For the initial germination/ seedling stage I will be using just a standard grow light you get from a hardware store. If anyone has advice on the germination method to seedling grow tips it would greatly be appreciated, especially if you've had previous experience with FFOF.

don't use you fox soil if its too hot ( iv no experience) but a cheap $ bag of no nutes compost and 25%perlite and your seed will love it :)

works for me every time ....... You don't have to feed it for a week or two anyway :)

nice and warm and humid and your good to go:) 25°c 60 rh = happy plant

Also, use tap water to germinate. The dissolved solids in the water (provided your water isn't crap) will help the seed germinate.
