germination to hydro rig?

first hydro grow, but been growing other plants in soil a long time

starting out from seeds, nothing to clone off of. built a aeroponic rig and will start on a cloning rig once I get this all running but for now I have a question

once I get the seeds to sprout, then put them into rockwool cubes, then what do I do till they are big enough to put into the aero rig?

or do I just put the rockwool into the 4" net pots with a thin layer of hydron and then fill in around the edges and let it go for a while on straight RO water?

Thanks

Here's one way.

Get rid of the roockwool. I start beans in 16 oz plastic cups (slits at the bottom for drainage) filled with vermichlite and 1/4 strength flowering nutes. Cups are placed in a plastic tub covered with cling wrap (high rh), once a nice root system developes under floros---the vermichlite rinses off leaving bare naked roots. Soil is much, much harder to rinse off.

These plants can be placed in the veg/flower rig-----really don't need any medium----just physical support.
