Gettin' Cold Outside But Trichomes Not Orange

Hey all,

So it's been cold up in Southwest Canada... Like nighttime lows of 2c (35f)... I'm ready to harvest my plants but I'm not sure that they are ready.

Pistols have all pretty much turned brown and shriveled up. Looking at my trichomes, there are no amber, just cloudy/milky and maybe some clear.

Should I consider harvesting if the temps are dropping that low? Or should I let it ride a bit longer?

Thank you!

Pics would probably help.

I'm kinda in the same boat, except it's gotten as low as 28F overnight and likely gonna dip down into the teens within days. With days topping out in the 60s, seems like it's about time to actually decide. I just have no previous outdoor growing experience and don't know when it's officially too cold.

I also use double layer of old pool solar cover to wrap my pot from frost when needed.

The cold be ok its humidity +cold thats the killer sure cold days slow growth but you would be suprised what it can take some stuff take a few days of snow and survive for what its worth good luck anyway guys

That is the perfect time to pick you don't want any amber 80 percent Milky the rest clear. When amber starts you loose potency and energizing buzz.

It can take a frost or two but no more than that can get bud rot, will. I grow outside

They've had several frosts already. Ended up just chopping one last night and will probably take the other one today. After the weekend, we're looking at highs in the 50s and overnight lows in the teens. Just gonna get what I got while the gettin' is still good. These were indoor plants I'd put outside to die, so anything I get from them is just a bonus.

Thanks everyone for the responses. It has gotten even colder here and is going to stay cold coming up. Today looking at the plants, their leaves are starting to curl upwards after last night's chill.

I'm making the call to harvest and start drying later today.

Appreciate all of the responses.
