Getting ready for a perpetual grow, how does my plan look?

I'm starting out to grow and I've planned out my first few grows

1st run -
1) Start 12 Bruce Banner #3 seeds
2) Veg them and clone them (clones by TOPPING)
3) Make the clones into mothers
4) Wait until harvest

2nd run
1) Pick 1~4 best mothers that yielded the most in the 1st harvest (phenotype selection), discard the rest
2) 50~60 clones for SOG 2L Hempy

A problem I have with this is
1) Will 8 weeks of flowering stage in the 1st run be enough time for the mothers to grow enough for cloning for 2nd run
2) I need a LOT of clones, how many can a moderately-sized mother make? I'm not sure whether I should keep 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 mothers
3) Do you usually keep your mothers under a legit grow light or like a T5

Depends on the light pot nutes ect. I keep mine small so 1 gallon pot low light light nutes. however there's times ill clone one throw it in a three gallon let it grow into a teee under a bigger light and then im set. Then Ill sacrifice the whole plant to make enpugh clones. Eight weeks is longer than you think...look at how many cant even wait an actual 8 to chop...
