Getting seeds from a male...can it grow Female?

My friend had this plant and it was either a male or Hermie.

I have some seeds from it, and was wondering if I grow a few can the seeds grow female plants even though they are from a male or hermie plant?

to produce seeds the plant needs to be atleast a bit female, seeds come about from the pollination of a female by a male . so yeah if the seeds germinate you have a 50/50 chance of them being worth something altho the genetics from what i have heard arnt gunna be that great

A male cannot produce seeds, so your friend must have a hermie. As far as the seeds go, yes - you can get female plants from them. Be careful not to over- stress the plants though to decrease the likelihood of producing more hermaphrodites.

all plants have a chance of hermieing at any stage after early seedling stage but it is true that two hermies together are more likely to produce seeds that r more likely to become hermie, thats why some old skool growers don't like feminised seeds
