Getting the most out of your plants

I have been planning on starting a 2nd grow and have been looking at all these new seeds and strains. so I looked at a few grow journals and saw these huge indoor plants that looked about 5-6 ft tall and was a bush of chronic. How do people do this? my harvest I got on my 1st grow was only about a pound using sog and like a 5000 dollar system I want to get more then that!

You continually top the plant while letting it veg for months. You also need a very powerful light source (i.e. the sun, or one huge electric bill) think 600 watts per plant at least, ideally 1000.

Your SoG setup is better for higher production. You just need to fine tune it, and build your own to have a rotational perpetual harvest. Also, along with the SoG on the floor, you could just shelves for a vertical grow.

I wouldn't be happy with a pound either if I was running a 5k system.

Most those huge plants you see are from people who veg them for months on end, topping/fimming many times. Where a SOG like you were running produces smaller yeilds, but at a faster rate.
