Hey guys and gals, its my first grow and i just noticed one of my plants is starting to preflower. Should i go ahead and switch to floranova bloom or should i wait a couple more weeks? And also, when i go to switch to bloom do i need to flush the soil? Thanks for the help in advance! Keep growing!

Keep them on veg nutes until about two weeks after you switch them to flower. No need to flush.

I'd feed them one more time with the higher nitrogen stuff. Then start the bloom. The first three weeks into flower the plant is tripling itself. Bud will show but the plant won't go full bud until the stretch is over. Then it'll put all the resources into making flowers. Lower levels of nitrogen are needed.

Don't follow the directions. Start out at 1/4 teaspoon. Increase by 1/8th teaspoon till you get to 1/2 teaspoon. Keep it at that until around the sixth week into flower. Then start backing it down from a 1/2, doing 1/8 at a time. Plan it to be 1/8 teaspoon bloom to a gallon water around the late 8th -10th week of flower.

Never apply to dry soil. Wet the soil with plain water. Then follow with the fertilizer solution. Apply till run off.

Why cany you apply the nutes to dry soil? Is that just bloom or is that grow too?

Both. In simplified terms. Dry soil concentrates fertilizer. It has to do with the electric conductivity of the medium.

The day before fertilizer, wet the soil. Or wet the soil prior to pouring in the mix. Have the stuff at a ~stable~ 6.5 ph.

Otherwise, it's how we burn our plants. Crusty, Brown tips...curls. It's part dosage and part soil moisture level at the time of application.
