After some research i decided to go with a rarely under reviewed lighting manufacture for my leg build. I chose them because what i had read looked promising, especially as they are using a fairly new and unique Japanese diodes (Nichia) . They also incorporate UV and green/yellow light for a true full spectrum effect.
This isn't a paid review or anything so i suggest you visit https://growlightsaustralia.com for a full breakdown of what these chips offer.
Customer service with this company was great and purchasing a total of 3 400w drivers and 24 strips ended with a significant discount.
Building the light fittings themselves only had one tricky part and that was finding suitable passive heatsinks for these strips. If i could do it again i would have only built the one LED strip fitting and just gone with a pair of their longboards for my 5ft tent.
Strips were easy to mount and very easy to wire, you can wire 4 trips end to end without issue so it made for near installation as the strips come pre wired with flex tails.
With my 4ftx4ft i build a 400w square with a slight angle to go with a 315w CMH in LEC fitting. and i must say after doing one grow with them i am very impressed. despite having some issues with pests and an unfortunate damage from hydrogen peroxide and light burn i still managed to get 22z from an average strain.
The PFFD readings are also very uniform and i can get a solid 700pffd from the edges to the centre.* with the square and LEC
With pure bar fittings i made 2x 400w fittings so i could adjust height and angle over my grow space to optimise penetration and PFFD
With this setup i am getting 600 PPFD in the low spots at the edges and 800-900 just a little in all the way to the centre.
The pictures i am posting are from a second run where i am using clones and plan not to make the same mistakes that damaged my yield on the last attempt.
Overall i would defiantly recommend this manufacturer , shipping is reasonable and offset massively by removal of sales tax and not being stung too badly at customs. i am going to swap out the LEC for two of their 250w panels and heatsinks to be run at 400w total
