Okay so I’m using coots mix recipe...it says use glacial rock dust but I don’t have any on hand. Would I be ok to use aZomite as a replacement? Also someone explain to me the cons of putting heavy metal in your soil...

Azomite is fine; not the most exotic mineral you can source but it will work. People get all uppity about rock dust for some reason. Some are all about the glacial rock while others opt for basalt. I have added soft rock phosphate, glacial rock dust, azomite, D-lime, and garden gypsum as mineral inputs over the years. Have not noticed much difference between any of these. You need a mineral input; there’s nothing saying you cannot switch it up in the future. Rock dusts/minerals take a long time to break down; could be well into the next run before it is fully available.
