God dang mushroomers

Alright...I love mushrooms and love to pick them...don't get me wrong...but they just happen to grow like crazy around my house ...Bradleys is what we call them where I'm from...they just strated popping up ...I am in the woods everyday and always look great them and just found some yesterday so....well my property is a well know spot for mushrooms and the property that joins mine =/....which is where my plants are ...well after i checked my cameras at my plants I went back to the house and got some bags to pick any mushrooms that I could find so incase some pecker head came walking through looking he would just think ..they must not be up yet...well after I had found a mess of them I took off to my honey hole of mushrooms...and guess what I found ot the way....2 stoned guys looking for mushrooms ....they didn't have any and I had literally been looking fr 20 min and already had a bag full....so I asked they what they were doing and they said mushrooming of course...well I ended up giving those dudes my mushrooms and walking them back oUT of the woods cause they said they were headed right where my plants are ...yikes....I kept talking to them and steering thsm clear of my gals untill we hit hard top....I even promised to bring them more mushrooms...which I gladly will to keep them the hell away from my patches ....what other kinda things do u guys have to worry about that's similar to my situation ....mainly around here it's now hunters...and around now it's black berries and mushrooms...of u can beat those your usually gold
 
That's a good thing...Huckleberries. ..which I'm sure u know are blue berries ...are around here too but usually they are higher up or in a really untouched area....but black berries literally grow in my yard....the early ones are coming on right now and the later ones are loaded ...most iv seen for a long time....

are we talking edible or psychedelic?

Our cow pastures were known spots for magic mushrooms. I used to chase folks off all the time. I never grew where the cows were at, so that wasn't a problem as far as my grows go.

But I do have to worry about every kind of berry picker out there. Some of my patches don't get planted until after huckleberry season. And we have both huckleberries and wild blueberries. Our planted blueberry patch is about done, but the wild ones are just coming in. They are not as sweet, and not as thick on the trees, but they are still blueberries, and I will stand there and pick my fill when I have the time.

I use berry picking as a cover for checking on my plants. Right now the blackberries are kicking it. I try to take a Solo cup with me, and pick a few while I'm in the woods. Just in case I do see someone one as I'm heading back to the truck.
 
I hear ya larry..I use the mushrooms fir a cover if I get busted or black berries ..which ever...but if someone see me they are gonna think they are about to get mugged cause I have a black sleeve from some Long Johns I cut off and made eye holes in that i use when I check mine just incase someone found my plants and set up a game camera and @trippnface they are the kind u eat ...and I was just trying to be nice and keep they from coming back so I told them I would bring them some more so I hopefully don't have to c them anymore
 
maybe a story of someone from previous years dying cos there were bad mushrooms in the lot they picked and ate lol either way two stoners looking for normal edible mushies sounds suss
 
They go around here looking for morel mushrooms in March/April, ginseng after September 1 and arrow heads 365 days per year. Between them and the sheer number of bow hunters in the woods every September, there are lots of folks beating down the bush around here. When I see big outdoor gorilla patches guys like Getaway and Marco put out, all I can think of is those wouldn't last a week in the bush without being found on the western half of my state.

just have to grow where no sane person will go,swamps r perfect for that just got to be willing to go further than any one else,i got spots I have used over 10 yrs 100 ft from busy rd:bigjoint: ky got to have some stinky ass swamps

I hunt morels too ..not that good at it...but I find sacks of Bradleys ...enough to make up fit not finding any of the others lol...but I understand exactly what u meen...if u had a big ass spot clear out like getaway has you would have to have it on your own land and fenced in somehow of I bet money someone would find it where I live...I have found a few in my day and I just thought I hope some other pos doesn't stumble on it cause they would be snatched ....a lot if Boe hunters too...no sang grows where I put my plants cause ppl who hunt sang can spot plants very well...it grows really well if you can find a sunny spot close to where sang is though. ...but I kinda take all of the things into consideration when looking for a honey hole and weigh out the bag vs. The good...I don't have my wheeler this year or I wouldn't even be in the spot I'm in now...this spot stresses me out so bad

One time when checking my New England patch {it was the original 13 plants that year} there was the biggest fuss you ever heard. I thought a bunch of men were rushing me through the brush. I took off running, but pulled my hamstring and had to stop. The noise happened again, but this time I got a whiff, and knew it was a bear. I got down on my knees and thanked the Good Lord. A bear I can deal with.

Some of my spots are killing me. Things changed since I dug the holes, but I decided to go ahead with them. Some of my cousins who had a trailer for a camp are now living there just about full time. Now I'm having trouble getting in and out to check on things. I planted a few grapevines and peach trees, so I would have a reason for going in there. I just hate for folks to see me going and coming.

Well to be fair, GoRealUhGro said he has his plants on someone else's property so we can't really criticise these dudes for "fucking ‎around where they should not be" unless we're going to say the same about him.
Sounds like you handled it really well GoRealUhGro and they don't sound like bad guys.‎ Good luck with the rest of your growing season. Sounds like you need it :)
 
Well at least you have cameras up so you'll know if/when they find them. Let's hope they're just a couple stoner kids and they don't find your plants. A don't kids these days know they can grow their own damn shrooms and actually know what they're getting? Maybe you should bring that one up and suggest it if you run into them again? Hell it's easier than growing weed by far. Be sure to bring up the part where they can grow literal ounces of mushrooms per run.
Because you know you saw it on youtube or a drugs inc video or something while watching Netflix.
 
It's not "shrooms" and they weren't kids..they were 50 + yr old men ....the mushrooms I'm talking about are just for eating to get your belly full not to get high...and the guys didn't ask to walk through our property which they were headed for...they even said they were...they never asked anybody if they could walk through there property ..so they really didn't have any business where they were...but I cant hold that aginst them ...I do the same shit...but I know I wouldn't ever snatch someone's plants if I find them ...fuck i would water them if they need it
