Hey,
I will be going on vaction for 6 days and currently have 2 mothers growing in 1.5 gallon pots. They take about 32oz of water every other day. I am trying to figure out the easiest way to have them watered while I am gone. I have researched wick watering but it appears that everyone is feeding from the bottom. If I put a wick placed as far down as i can get from the top of the soil and attach it to a gallon jug of water with this work? will the gallong jug have to be above the plant, below it or same level? or does it even matter?

I've included a picture to describe what i mean. Thanks in advance for the help!

test it out ...and you dont' have anyone that knows about it correct? you shouldn't butt if you do obviously you trust them have them come water for you

*i wouldn't recommend it but hey either that or no vacation ;)

*one thing water right before the lights go out before you leave this will give you a little extra time as the plants won't drink as much water till the lights come back on...won't give you much but will help with anything your going to be doing

dude 1 1/2 gallon pots that way to small, transplant them in 3 or 4 gallon pots. Water them very well, and go on vacation. They'll be ok for your 6 days. Make sure the temps are cool, and you should have no problems.
