im thinking about trying the TechnaFlora "RFS" method for this first little experiment. (because im getting a really good deal on the nute set) also was thinking bout trying AN rhino skin and bud candy... thought?

Don't get stuck on fancy nutes or crazy expensive lights expecting magical results. That is the gist of the point. You need to break things down and keep them simple. A plant needs:
CO2
O2
Nutrients
Water
Good Lighting Levels and Spectrum
Proper Humidity
Proper Temperature
Proper PH

Getting carried away in any one area is a waste of time. If you want to push things it's about pushing the bottleneck then moving to the next bottleneck. To start with, worry about getting the basics into ideal delivery range:
PH/Temp/Humidity/Root O2 being your first most important concern.
Lighting level and Nutrient level being your next most important concern.
Then UVB, Sulphur, and other resin production stimulants should be considered.
Then CO2 supplementation and climate control
Then you can even push further and add hormones...

But it's always about identifying the bottleneck and pushing that toward ideal a bit further.

Also remember that there are 20+ sucker products additives and every good nutrient maker also makes sucker products, why let the suckers flock to the competition.

very nicely put @nomofatum! That's WHY im going with hydro this spring, ive grown outdoors/soil for the past five years and i feel like my results could/should be better like that. Honestly i dont have to spend TOO much on my nutes because i live in a community with 3 dispensary's in about a fifty mile radius. All of which have no problem giving me samples of nutes. (it goes like THIS: my AN guy says his are the best, my FF guy says HIS are the best and my CANNA guy says HIS are the best. I know its up to me to decide which i get my own best results from)
i was just asking from a hydroponics perspective, seenings so you DON'T have a natural nutrient rich environment like soil.

You can get very similar results from most of the nutrient options. I still prefer the MaxiGro/MaxiBloom but can get similar results after the first run on any of them I expect. Get enough for 1 plant grow of each, do 1 of each and see if you see result differences you can't attribute to a problem you ran into and could prevent on another run. You may find an easier one, but you won't likely find a better one.

If you mean do hydro outdoors, I wouldn't do DWC outdoors, cooling the water is a bitch. Drip systems into a bale if you want to get fancy outdoors.

oh, lol... at the beginning i said this was going to be a closet grow. I'm only doing it on a very small scale, so i can eliminate excessive unwanted variables.
