Gonna give it a shot

So I got this almost 90$ led bulb gonna try just for veg. The one in the pic is a smaller one because I didn't know I had a mogul socket laying around.The bulb that will be in it (tomorrow) will be a 250w hid equivalent 5000k this one is 150-175w hid equivalent 5000k. This one throws some light out and since I have an old hps hood I figured why not marry the two. Anyone tried these types of bulbs? I cant believe there is one for 150$ its a 150w actual not equivalent but I wasn't paying that much no sir.

Hey Bucs! I used the older CFL bulbs, and honestly they were pretty poor. The hood is a must to get the best out of it, but it's throws light all over the show rather than where it's specifically needed.. For example a quantum board where all LEDS are directed straight down to the canopy. For veg In a small place, it will likely do ok

Its not a compact florescent tho so I think it might be good for one plant to veg. Idk worth a shot if not I can use it outside in my pole light
