they are all about $20 for a case. good or bad deal? i only have access to 26watt bulbs here.

Only really good enough for veg, don't get me wrong you'd get some bud if you used those all the way, but you would lose out on a lot of weight.

Sure get as many 6400k's as you need for veg but if you want to flower with cfl you have to break that 100 watt barrier at least

EBAY has 250W CFls..... for 30£ blue and red

for that much you could but 3 cases of these bulbs @$60 and get 3000watts

all the research that I have done shows that it would be better to have more bulbs around a plant than 1 over it. even when it comes to growing with cfl lights. I can use 3 of these 100watt cfls and that would be more light than a 250w cfl, covering more area of the plant(s)

this one website in paticular offers up to 200watt cfls.
the 100 watt are about $20-$25 a case and 6-10 bulbs come in a case. that seems like a lot better option than getting a 250watt cfl on ebay for $60+.

in my opinion anyways.....

sounds good to me... How many are in a case???
I pay 10 and change for 42 W CFL's at home depot

after my roommate gets home ill get on his computer account and get the page url off the bookmark and post it for ya. I got it while surfin the net on his account for cheap high wattage bulbs to add into my box. I only use the guest account on his pc so i will get on the admin account when he gets here in a few hours.

also, these are some pictures of a box im making for a small cfl flowering box. right now there are 4 bulb sockets inside it and a fan wired into the top of the container (a rubbermaid bin).

I have a few other sockets i COULD put in it but im not so sure that the box could really withstand that if i order these bulbs to go in it like i plan on doing. i have had 8-9 42watt cfls in there and the temps didnt go over 85 degrees.

what do you guys think that I could do to improve it. since th epics were taken I have painted the inside white and outside black. no light can be seen through it while 8 42 watt bulbs are on in it, well except from that big hole in the lid of course:)

Looks good,

Though it may well be to small come flowering... as what size pots do you plan on useing ?

As add a pot and even a 1ft plant Min,

cant see there being much room left hight wise on your rubbermaid

:joint:

i know so ive thought..........
I might put about 3-4 small clones in a small dwc tub in the thing and sog them to one big cola a peice and keep them bent over. since the fan takes up 2 corners (i ant putting anything near that plant killer) I can bend 2 colas apeice into the remaining 2 corners. i plan on having at least 2 of the 100watt bulbs on the side under the buds bent to the corner , plus additional ones around the box.

by the way heres that link for the site that had those 100watt bulbs. I think they had larger but the 100watt seemed most reasonable priced.

2 to 200 Watt
Compact Fluorescent Bulbs

place is pretty cheap. and you will have to setup an account before you can make an order but it only takes a second.

yea post that site...
I have a box like that a little longer that I use for vegging... I have 2 42 W CFLs... I'm afraid to put anymore in... its pretty hot.

put a fan in that thing man. its cuts the temp outta there by 80 percent. no kidding. i went to walmart picked up a cheap fan (o2 brand) for like 13 bucks broke the motor holding part outa the back, removed the blade, cut a square almost that side in my lid, taped it in and reattached the fan blades with caulk.
make sure the fan is positioned to bring air into the box. (later we might consider another to take air out of the box) and the hole in the box you cut for it allows it to bring ample air for the fan to blow, in through that hole.

I know I need a fan... I'v been leaving it open a crack... But I'v been buying so much shit a fan was pretty low priority... now its priority number 2? maybe?eeee
I was going to buy a computer fan... but than said HAY I got an old computer and took the fan from it... I was like what the fuck... the fan is like 2 inches by 2 inches... So I threw it out...
I'm going to buy a computer fan... But how Do I wire it? just wire it to a plug? or will that burn it out???/

u relize 20 bucks for a 105 watt bulb... when that dude up there said u can get a 250 one for 30

105w( 20) x 2.5 = 50+ 50 > 30 ( and +10 shipping on that site)

but it looks like a decent deal... i dont know where u can get a 250 watt for 30 so i'd just go with that one
