Good camera?

hello all,

What would be a good camera
For under $250~ including a good micro lense? Would it be cheaper just to get some sort of lense for my phone? iPhone 6....any links or advice are seriously welcome. Thanks so much!

If you have a iPhone 6 you can shoot pretty good pix with that, its an excellent camera. Always remember that you don't take pictures of things, you take pictures of light reflected off of things. That means that light is paramount in every pic.

The pix you attached would benefit from better light, so use flourescent or MH/CMH/white LED, not HPS or off-white LED to light any pic. Outside/window light works great, if you can move the plants. Also turn the flash ON for closeup shots, although also try it without, but don't just let the phone decide, do both and choose the better.

If you want to shoot proper macro and you have a computer the best option is to do something like this, for just $40 it rocks:

Your phone covers the middle distance shot and the close-up. The scope covers the macro. If you want a wide consider a clip-on for your phone for cheap, or splurge on a GoPro. They're super useful elsewhere too, and can be controlled by your phone.
