Good News and Bad News

Let's start with bad news.
I've been growing the Hindu Kush strain for 2 months now. I've nutured the shit out of these plants, giving the best environment I could possibly give.
Well, low and behold all my plants turned out to be male. Dammit I was pissed. Yesterday I was like a kid at the grocery store who couldn't get any candy. Fuck....I'm still a little mad.
Anyways...
Here's the good news.
Due to my misfortune, I left the house yesterday and decided to go on a nice long drive. This is what I do when I'm mad about things.
I ended up driving a long time and ended up in Mississauga, Ontario Canada.
I knew of a seed bank there but I wasn't exactly sure where it was. But I eventually found it. It's on Lakesore Blvd. west, just in case anyone wants to know. The place is called Ontario Seed Bank.
Anyways, this place had pretty much any kind of strain I wanted. I was talking to the owner of the store about my dilemma and he recommended that I should probably go with feminised seeds.
They were a bit pricey....$280 for Dutch Passion feminised Oasis (10 seeds), plus I got a free 10 seed pack of northern lights with my purchase.
At the time the price seemed a bit high. Plus I know I would of paid alot less money if I would of bought them on-line.
I've always been a little skeptical about buying seeds on-line....you never know what your going to get. Plus, what's stopping one of the seed places to taking your money and sending you some shitty bag seed. You won't know for at least 3 months if it's shitty bag seed or not.

I think the extra money that I spent on these seeds were "Well Spent".
I drove there bought the seeds and didn't have to worry about all the bullshit of having it mailed to me with customs and all.

Anybody here ever smoke Dutch Passion Oasis?
I'm curious on what kind of high it will give me?

I've read what they say about it. But that tells me nothing.

If all the seeds sprout female, both the DP and the NL then you'll have paid $14.26 Canadian for each female plant. Thats not too bad but I suspect the NL seeds are not feminized which means you could only get 5 girls, but anyway go figure. Sorry to hear about your entire garden being boys, that sucks.

280 dollars for seeds is a huge investment, remember its worth investing at least that much in equipment. At 28 bucks a peice each seed has got to make it.

I agree totally...
I've got about $3,000 invested into my grow op.
I have 2 rooms....One veg and one bloom room.
For vegging:
I start out with 40 watt CFL's
Then bump it up to T5's once they're 2-3 inches
Then bump it up to a 400 watt metal halide once they reach 6-8 inches
I'm in a ebb-n-flow system
For nutrient I'm using Sensi A & B for vegging, Mother Earth tea, B52, Sensizm, and Voodoo Juice
I grow in rockwool and a Diatomite medium
I change the resevoir once a week.
I'm using a Co2 setup for both my vegg and flowering, keeping the PPM levels in between 1300-1500
My ventilation is perfect, the air inside both rooms is being exchanged 4 times a minute.

For Flowering:
I continue with using the 400 watt metal halide until the vegg cycle is overwith.
Then I switch to a 400 watt Agromax 55,000 Lumens HPS bulb.
I also use an Ebb-n-flow method for flowering.
For Nutrient I'm using Sensi A & B for flowering, B52, Carboload, Sensizym, Big Bud and Overdrive.
I change the resevoir once a week.
I'm also using Co2 setup for my flowering while keeping the PPM levels in between 1300-1500

This is just the jist of it. I tried to keep it simple, but there's alot more to it. I'm sure you know what I mean.

I'm probably gonna wait for a few days to germinate the seeds.
