Good or Bad way to hang CFL?

This is a 300 watt CFL thats very heavy. Keeping that in mind and the fact that it will probably get very hot, i tied it around its own treads with a steel wire. Good idea, bad idea? will this break the bulb, will it spark or something crazy im not thinking of? thanks for any imput

Its fine. If you get a small personal fan (like desk top clamp fan) and place t on the light, It wont get hot at all and youll be able to put it way closer to the plant.
