Ok, so I have my room seperated into two seperate rooms. My brother is a carptenter and he did the whole tearing up the carpets, installing drywall, a door, etc, to seperate one room, into about (2) 5x5 rooms.
I wanted to use one room for a mother plant and cloning, and of coursing vegging, and then move them over into the other room for flowering. Trying to do a SOG I guess you could say.
I was looking at HTGSupply and they have some T5 fixtures that they say equal a 400w MH light, and I like the fact that I can use them close to the plants. Does a 400w MH have better penetration to the lower parts of the plants than a 40,000 lumen-producing 4' 6500k T5? I was also going to probably get a smaller variation of their T5s and use them for cloning and perhaps one for the mother.
I wanted to use T5 instead of MH because 1. They don't lose lumen output like MH does and 2. They aren't as hot, and I would need light for 3 sections of the veg room, to light the mother plant, the clones, AND the clones transfered to the vegging buckets.....and I'd rather not use three seperate MH systems for each purpose.
Don't worry though, definetly looking at a 400w HPS for flowering.
