Gorilla Seed Bank and how they ripped me off!

Hi guys, I’m not normally one for forums and posting about my issues but after the shocking

service I have received from Gorilla Seed Bank I thought it would best to warn you guys about these conmen and their shady business as I don’t want any of you to be out of pocket and time like myself.

So here’s how they have conned me out of my money and time.

I placed an order on the 8th Oct what was accepted but then later got a email saying they didn’t have my original order in stock and offered me a replacement with extras
included, as they couldn’t get my original order to me as it would take 5 days
(13oct). After some research on what they offered me I accepted their offer and
was happy as they said they would post out immediately on the 9thOct,
so come the 14thOct and I still hadn’t had anything I emailed them for they to
reply on the 15thOct that my order wasn’t posted out on the 9th as
they said they would do but the 13thOct and gave me a tracking
number, when I checked the tracking number it was for another customer based in
Blackpool and posted on the 14thOct plus I live nowhere near Blackpool!
So reconfirmed my address what checked out after a couple of emails they blamed royal mail and
said they would reship in the early hours of the 17thOct and I asked
for the new tracking information when they had sent it. So I carry on messaging
them asking for tracking and have no reply till the 19thOct with the
same tracking number they sent me for the customer in Blackpool, so I sent more
messages what didn’t get I reply to till the 20thOct saying they were working
on it getting reshipped even though they had said it was getting reshipped on
the 17thOct, so I asked for a refund or tracking number and then they seem to
have sent me a fake tracking number that royal mail haven’t heard of or can find.

I have since asked many times for a refund and they haven’t even got back to me so I am warning you all that Gorilla Seed Bank are total conmen and only after your money without sending you you’re order.

I’ll never be using these scam artists again and I don’t think any of you guy’s should either unless you like losing your hard earned money.

Never shopped online for this product before as got a local bank near to home but due to illness I
have been unable to visit my local store and was thinking going online would save me time and
hassle but how wrong could I of been!

I would also like to point out that I'm posting my story up on other sites to warn people due to having no reply via Facebook, emails, and PM's.

Stay safe all.

lots of members here have had great experiences with them.misunderstandings & miscommunications happen.
Gorilla has a rep here on RIU Sherry https://www.rollitup.org/members/gorillaseedbank.891067/
If you have a problem message her she can get stuff straightened out if its legit.
Too many people come to these sites to post negative reviews & complaints to tarnish good people.Sometimes competing seed banks do this to the competition.:peace:

Thank you for there profile link, have sent them another message(this time on here)
Wish I didn't have to come on here and other forums and do this but they have left me no choice but to tell my story to others, hopefully others will not be ripped off like I have been.

We have already done a lot for this gent. Here is Sherry's response to his similar thread on Grass City:
Just so everyone is clear, I'd like to explain a few things ...
-
First,
other than myself, our staff rarely works the weekends. I tend to be a 24/7/365 work-a-holic & even check the forums on Christmas. If I'm busy, I might not say anything & just check to see if someone's sent us a PM. However, I can't run the company single-handedly, so I leave the emails to other people. If a PM had been left here sooner, it would have been answered. I'm sure there are plenty of people here who've talked to me at all kinds of hours, but late on a Sunday night doesn't usually happen.
-
Next,
I'd like to lay out out a timeline to show how everything went down with this order, and I'll even apologize for anything that we did wrong. As I always say, we're not perfect, especially during the busy season (we're busiest August through January) - but we do make up for our mistakes & we don't rip people off. We're certainly not laying on a beach somewhere counting our ill-gotten gains.
-
Tues 10/06 - placed order & paid
Thurs
10/08 - out of stock notice (we don't consider seeds out of stock until our suppliers are also out and they don't always tell us ahead of time - such is the seed business. I'm going to assume that one of our reorders didn't make it in on time, they tried to reorder these specific seeds on 10/07, and it was a no-go. Cream of the Crop is very popular along with a few other brands right now & they're hard to keep in stock. No apology, just an explanation - although I am sorry that OP did not get his seeds of choice. He could have chosen anything else at a comparable price, waited for them to come in or requested a refund at
that time.)
-
Fri 10/09, 11:52 - OP accepted our replacement offer if we could ship that day
Fri 10/09, 14:33 - We acknowledged his acceptance & said we would ship.
Tue 10/13 - the package was shipped (They should not have said they would ship on Friday if the wouldn't. That's our bad, and I apologize.)
-
Wed 10/14, 15:08 - OP asked about the shipment
Thu 10/15 02:02 - We answered with the tracking number
Thu 10/15 05:23 - OP answered to say he was disappointed
Thu 10/15 16:15 - OP wanted confirmation of tracking since it looked like his package delivered but he didn't have it
Fri 10/16 01:28 - We responded to say we see the same, could he call his post office
Fri 10/16 07:34 - OP confirms his address & asks us to call Royal Mail
-
Fri 10/16 22:32 - OP says package delivered to the wrong address - this could be Royal Mail's problem, but I'm going to accept responsibility & guess that maybe the wrong label got put on his package. I apologize for this as well.
Sat 10/17 05:23 - we confirm that there is a problem & say that we will reship
Sat 10/17 05:31 - OP asks if we well send tracking on reship
Sat 10/17 05:34 - we say that we will
Sun 10/18 01:09 - OP asks if it has been resent (our mail room doesn't work weekends)
-
Mon 10/19 14:08 - OP asks for tracking
Mon 10/19 18:18 - he's sent old tracking number by mistake because someone didn't read the old notes (our bad, and I apologize)
Mon 10/19 19:20 - OP says it was the old tracking number
Tue 10/20 02:55 - We apologize & say we're working on the reship
Tue 10/20 10:12 - OP asks for shipment that day or refund
Tue 10/20 13:27 - new tracking number provided - this is in Royal Mail's system now, but it says they won't show any new information until after the delivery has been made.
Fri 10/24 12:48 - OP asks for a refund if we haven't shipped
Fri 10/24 15:37 - we reply with the tracking number & shipping address
Fri 10/24 16:34 - OP says it hasn't delivered & wants a refund
-
Emails are sent by the OP throughout the weekend

Sun 10/35 10:54 PM my time (East Coast, US), a PM was left here - sorry, but I have to sleep sometime, so I missed it.

Earlier today, I had vet appts & dentist appts, so I'm just getting online somewhat late in the evening for me & I've been looking at this for about an hour now. No apologies - life gets in the way sometimes & he'd already hit up Steve on Facebook.
-
Mon 10/26 - 16:17 - we apologized for not answering over the weekend & offer a refund if he supplies bank details
Mon 10/26 - 16:33 - he supplies his banking details
Mon 10/26 - 18:03 - we say we have processed the refund
-
While this order did not go as I would have liked, I think our customer service department responded in a timely fashion to his emails. If he had contacted us through the forums, I would have had some free seeds sent his way while his paid order was sorted.
-
In the meantime, the OP will have his money as soon as the bank is done processing and he may even get a free pack of seeds if Royal Mail hasn't lost the second package.
-
I am only reviewing the situation & being clear on exactly what happened after the fact. Since he talked to Steve, he may have gotten some additional freebies for his trouble. As a lot of you know, we're generous with the free seeds when we make a mistake. I've even been known to comp the entire order when we do something especially stupid.

While I'd love to make it up to kvond83 and keep him as a loyal customer, I don't have much opportunity coming in on the end. It would have been nice if he'd found the forum earlier & taken advantage of some of the hand-holding we offer the members here if they have any issue with their order.

-

If he changes his mind & would like to order from us again, I'd be happy to offer him a nice discount to compensate him for his less than pleasant experience & keep an eye on his order as it progresses through our system.

I'll acknowledge that the OP's order did not go smoothly.

I always prefer to keep customers happy, but it kind of went too far for me to step in before I saw the problem. He'd already requested a refund, and they had issued it. At that point, my hands are tied.

Again, I'm sorry that there were multiple issues with your shipment, some were ours, some were Royal Mails.

I've also offered him a nice discount should he choose to give us another chance.

Just checked out my balance and transfer has gone in, thank you.

So I would like to make it clear this matter is over in my eyes, taken far longer than it should of but it's over, I do wish I had found the forums sooner though as Sherry has almost got me wanting to give Gorilla a second chance and try another order.

Also if any seeds do show up could I please get a return postal address as I have never been after a free ride.

Cheers

I believe there's a return address posted on our site here - http://www.gorilla-c...k/returns.ht...

However, I'm pretty sure they're lost.

Steve also sent you some freebies from his stash - you're welcome to keep those.
When we looked up the tracking number, it shows delivered as of today & Lloyd signed for them.
Hopefully, you know Lloyd & all is good with that.

And, if you choose to come back, you can always reach out to us here & we'll get you a good discount on your next order.

I once waited two months before contacting a seed vendor about my seeds. They re sent and another 2 went by. Everyone kept their calm and worked it out and eventually I got my seeds. The fact this (the OP) took place over a number of weeks...

Ya'all need to relax sometimes... Light one up :)

I also had a bad experience with Gorilla. I ordered 1000 seeds and only 10 came. I emailed they emailed back and this went on for 7 years. Eventually I said fuck it and smashed my xbox with a stuffed gorilla til I felt better. I will settle out of court for a coupon code and credit and some of Steve's stash.
hahaah

Just kidding. I never ordered from Gorilla ever but I would if I had a coupon and got some of Steve's stash.
I love me some coupons. bongsmilie

I can take care of the coupon code - but you'll have to ask Steve about his personal stash.
He's getting ready to go on a 10-day holiday, so you may have to wait to ask.

Something for anyone thinking about ordering seeds from anywhere;

In an industry with various levels of legality globally and, indeed, nationally in some countries, you may incur some problems or waiting times as your potentially illegal package makes it's way across national and/or international borders and customs departments to get to you. Please remind yourself you didn't just order a .99cent pair of iPhone headphones on eBay, from China.

Don't become complacent because a seed vendor offers a re-send. That's not an offer made because it's 'good business' to give away free shit, I don't know any other markets where I can buy something, tell them it didn't get here and they'll just send more. I'd mail order a new car tomorrow, if that was the case, and pay the $12 to get a second one. Those re-send offers exist because the vendor accepts that what we're doing here is, by and large, illegal or 'dubious' at least and they're trying to meet us in the middle... I get that some of us live in parts of the world where this is legal, that's super, go down the local store and buy some clones/seeds. If you order on-line anyway, remember where the seeds come from and, possibly, what counties they must pass through to get to you.

Smoke a bowl, be polite, and remember you may well NOT get your seed order. It happens. That's likely the fault of customs or the postage service themselves and out of the control of the seed vendor.

Well said, and good advice.

However, if you purchase our stealth guarantee, you will get your seeds - we'll keep reshipping until you do. We do everything we can possibly do to get them to you.

If your country's customs gets so hot that we can't get through, like it did with Australia, we'll refund your money. We don't leave people hanging.

We've had some people recently have tracking that shows the seeds delivered to their door, but they said they didn't get them. If that happens, we assume theft & ask for an alternate address, but we'll still reship. However, if you want us to reship a 2nd time to the same address after your tracking shows delivered, it's kind of at your own risk. You need to watch for them carefully - we'll still cover customs seizures, but there's no way we can keep replacing forever if it shows delivered to the door.

I have 0 problems with gorilla, seems you are one of the difficult few who likes to start problems when they are bending over backwards to please you.

I tend to call people like that douchebags but that isn't any of my business.:joint::lol::bigjoint: got some Golden Ticket from gorilla that is in veg right now. Beautiful plants, had to toss a couple males unfortunately due to no breeding room but hell the females are going to be ddddddank.

Pictures to come.
