Gorilla tent skin not fitting

I am trying to put together my gorilla 2x4 foot heavy duty tent.

The top won't fit the frame, I havent fully seated the other 3 corners but the last corner is a couple inches shy of making it onto the frame.

Anyone else have this issue? Is there something I am missing? I loosened the velcro on those corners, no help there...

The top is a separate piece, there are no zippers on it. The rest of the tent is one piece with zippers, it's not installed yet.

I'll take a picture when the lights come on in there later tonite.

Thanks for the help BTW.

that seems odd...are you sure that you aren't putting the floor pan on top?
not trying to be a smart ass, never had a gorilla tent, but all the ones i have put together are all one piece that zip shut, and the separate piece is the floor liner pan.

Man I went through the same thing with my 5x5 tent.
Heres how I did it, build the frame, make sure everythings good, put the bottom piece on make sure the bottom corners are put on very well. Then put the top piece on. Then bring up the bottom side walls. It may not look like it will fit but you need to pull the bottom sides up. There should be velcro straps so you can hold the top piece and bottom piece together if youre putting it up by yourself. I had to get help because you really have to pull the bottom piece HARD so it makes a nice tight fit.
These are the straps (I think the straps are only on the back walls)

I used those straps to hold up the back walls while I tried to connect the front.
Edit nevermind I read your post wrong. Maybe you got the wrong poles and the top wont fit. If thats not it try jamming the top piece on. These things are tough so you have to jam the pieces on LOL

One thing I do know is the skin is really tight. Gonna need a shoehorn with teeth! lol
mine are cheapos, but i own 4....three of them go together easy as hell, no problems, one is a royal pain in the ass tht takes longer than the other three combined, but it does seem a lot sturdier than the others when i get it together...so maybe it's a good thing, in the end

Yeah I was hoping the skin would tighten up the frame as it's sorta wobbly lol

You have to fully seat the other 3 corners. FULLY......no matter what. There is no play in these tents because they make them so well. The material is very thick and is not very pliable. Take your time and get those other 3 corners 100% in place. Then give it a shot.

Do you plan on having a high cfm environment? Get the kit, it holds the walls back: https://www.gorillagrowtent.com/products/cfm-kit?variant=32758937482

I use the Gorilla Light Tents because they are a bit cheaper and match the price of other tents. They still outshine other $200 tents easily. The Heavy line is too expensive for me but they make them very well.

I tried the other three corners being seated by default lol gravity. Then I got an extra pair of hands and tried it the other way, because thats what the instructions said, no luck

Only other thing I can think of is that the top part was made for a "light" tent and they gave you the wrong top. Something somewhere may not be right. Check every corner, top and bottom, and make sure they all measure the same length. Measure all 4 poles from top to bottom, then sides. Can't hurt right :blsmoke:
