got my first grow 17 days into flower

Ok first try pieced this together from day 1. used 2 17w fluro tubes at 4500k. (didnt do proper research). Got me thru 5 an1/2 weeks from seed to flower. Then after info pick up in the CFL tutorial got me some 42w cfls I have 2 of course rated at 2700k for flower.

Now I have 3 plants 2 are female for sure and the 3rd is a runt. Still havent showed sex my girls showed 2 days ago (tall 1s).

I used miracle grow for veg I know some hate this but this is a budget grow piece by piece. For flower I found a local grow shop with fox farms tiger bloom, thanks to the RIU community for the idea didnt even know I had one.

Also I'm experimenting I trimmed some fan leaves off and since the runt not doing much I topped it to see what happens. Im trying to get some trial and error out before next year when the funds get better.

healthly lookin plants but to get any kind of decint bud and yeild you need more lighting those to bulbs ain knowhere enough light

No clue on strain bagseed from months of buying nugg. And light I know I need more but it christmas time the have to wait to get more I was thinking of adding y spliters with maybe some 6500k cfl to put in the mix I have seen a few like that

ya when i use to use cfls i used y spliters w/42watters ... worked pretty good!

ya i think they are like $7per bulb? .. but two would help out alot .. then put the smaller ones around the plant in a cirlcle...

and then if u want to get more crafty, take empty pop cans and make CFL can reflectors.. that would radiate so much light to the plant .. i bet u would get a pretty decent yeild bro ! and u have good nuts.. that wut i use ;) hehe

When the holiday season is over there will be more. I will think about crafting some better reflecters when I get more. I still got 6 to 8 weeks to go I would like to get a half oz or better this time around next time better lights and nutes from the start

You really shouldn't cut the fan leafs off, just use twist ties to move them out of the way.....you need the fan leafs because they hold the nutes in them to feed the bud sites. One other thing I saw you wrote that you topped your runt? You are in flower? You only top when in veg, so you get 2 colas to grow instead of 1 and to let the lower branches catch up to make 4. You can't really do that in flowering. Because it needs time for those branches to grow. I mean, your lower branches might strech up and give ya 2 colas but I'm kinda doubtfull, I think you just chopped off you main cola dude. I hope I'm wrong for your sake.

Well I know some people hate cutting fan leaves but I'm trying out only cut some lower ones left the ones up top by the light. This is all expermental The topping I know I did at a bad time just seeing what happens she is so short and I don't even know the sex yet so thats why I tried it it was not showing any preflowers and it looks the same as in veg time I might I messed up but My main focus is the 2 tall ones right now and yes I will have more lights in a couple of weeks.
