Got my sights set on next year

Hey all
I'm taking notes and thinking about next year's grow. This will be the second grow, and this year seems to be going better than the spouse expected. We're doing about as well as I thought we would.

Anywho, I'd like some input on the topic of "What should I grow next year"? The spouse don't give a fuck either way, but I prefer a giggly, creeper kind of stone.

We're growing outdoors in raised beds. Our current space is 3x3 but we'll probably go 4x4 next year. Lots of sunshine. We've tied the girls down so they're more horizontal. They're probably about 2' right now. Don't want the neighbours getting pissed!

I can't make heads or tails of Indica vs. Sativa. But I'm going to try & buy the seeds for next year soon while I have the money. We'll probably get a bit jiggy with some of them, topping and things like that. We'll probably have 4-6 plants.
Here's the current situation with 3 bagseed plants.

Anything from Mandala. I've grown their Satori and #1. Both were incredibly easy to grow, beautiful plants, light feeders, generous yielders and high m/f ratios. My last 10 pack of Man 1's I got 7/10 fems. They got a good amount of strains though, check em out and judge according to the high your looking for and when your going to have to harvest in your area.

btw Sativa's give you the clear, up, energized high, something favored in the morning or day time. Indica's on the other hand give you that couch-locked, stoned feeling. I like to grow a few different strains of each to balance it out, haha. Hope that helps..

Something short and bushy like Hash Plant, Afghan, Hindu Kush or even GDP. Also, since you already know the wisdom of "tying-down", consider bumping it up a little bit next year and build yourself a "black-out" cover for your raised beds.

When its time to flower (can flower as soon as pre-flowers appear, harvest early?), put the cover over your raised beds on a 12/12 or even a 11/13 day/night. If heat is a concern, add two computer fans, one supply and one exhaust. Just ensure your enclosure remains light-proof.

The hormone that promotes flowering is only made during the hours of darkness. And light kills the hormone. So any light pollution, however slight (even street lights and full moons), can seriously impact bud growth in the flowering phase. This fact, in my opinion, is why weed grown indoors and even "outdoor" grown in the countryside tends to be so much tighter, fuller, and heavier.

Want to have buds like nobody else? Simple, start flowering with the greenest, healthiest plants you can muster up and use the method above.

By the way, a nice, easy, and fool proof method is to use the system above with Moon Dust (19-8-13). I have no affiliation with them but the stuff is so simple and the plants explode with it. Trust me, there is no need to abuse the "P" during flowering. Simply keeping the plants green (they still need "N") - and very, very dark at night does the trick!

Cheaper, faster, better (IMHO;then again, I prefer the taste, smell, texture, and smoke-ability of outdoor)

The leaves are getting munched by beetles, I think. Haven't caught them in the act yet, but not bothering the ladies though! Plus I harvest some from time to time.

Actually, looking at the pic again, something larger had dinner one night. It's recovered well since then, though.

The broccoli, that is. That's what it's there for, Bud Stankalot :D Better the broccoli than my stanky buds lol
