Top 'o the mornin', RIUers, and ain't it a fine day!? After months and months of fussing and tweaking and worrying I have actually completed my first grow, start to finish. And I mean start to finish - seeds from Attitude, sprouting in paper towels, growing them into seedlings in Grodan (straight hydro, no soil). Vegging for two months under T5, blooming for 10 weeks in ebb/flow Hydroton, endless mite patrol and mold monitoring, harvesting, drying. Lovingly cured in Mason jars with Caliber iii's making sure everything was perfect. Every single thing, I was doing for the very first time. And for graduation, A connoisseur dealer put some serious $$$ in my hands and say he'd take any more I grew, the quality was that good! YEE HAW! What a feelin!
I smoke very infrequently myself, so even though the microscope said the trichs were abundant and just the right % cloudy, I couldn't be really sure of the product until some veteran smokers said it was really fine. I'll get all my investment in lights and other equipment back from this first sale. And I'll have time to bring in two much bigger sales before it's time to shut down and retire to Thailand (yes, I'm an aging hippie planning to spend my golden years knee-deep in sweet little teenage Asian hookers).
Anyway, just wanted to put this up here and say THANK YOU to the many, many RIU folks who took the time to provide the knowledge and guidance that made this success possible. Keep growin!
